Kirkland Named to Head Up Kasich Campaign
Fresh off a strong performance in New Hampshire, the John Kasich presidential campaign now has someone to lead its efforts in the Peach State. Billy Kirkland has been named State Director for the Ohio governor’s bid. In a statement, Governor Kasich said,
What a big win this is for us, to have Billy Kirkland on our side in Georgia. With more than 15 years of solid political and campaign experience at every level and in every corner of this great state, he is going to be a major asset to our team. We have a winning message to take to Georgia voters, and Billy Kirkland is just the person we need to help us carry that message statewide.
Kirkland, who managed the successful campaign of David Perdue and is a past national field direcctor for the Faith & Freedom Coalition said,
John Kasich brings a fresh, new outlook and a positive agenda to the forefront of this presidential race, where too many others are taking a negative approach. Gov. Kasich has a solid, demonstrated record of conservative results and proven success. The more Georgia voters hear his message, the more I know they will respond to his record and values.
In other Kasich news, his PAC, New Day for America, tapped Jared Thomas to help coordinate its Georgia efforts.
