GeorgiaPol Radio – Episode 6 For February 19, 2016: Who Can Fly This Thing?
It’s Friday, and that means GeorgiaPol Radio is taking over The Sully Show on WGST 640AM. Charlie Harper flies solo on this week as Jon Richards and Stefan Turkheimer are down at the Capitol. Although Sully let’s Charlie in the radio booth by himself, you won’t be wandering around like a somnambulant. It’s a jam-packed show that will keep your ears glued to your speakers.
This week’s synopsis:
Segment 1: Charlie shares a few words about the passing of US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and how his relationships should be a model for those of us in politics.
Segment 2: MARTA chairman Robbie Ashe III comes on to talk about the operations of MARTA and the need of expansion, especially with a growing Millennial population in the metro Atlanta area.
Segment 3: I come on to talk about my piece about the Hipster Evil Empire (Apple) and the FBI and pose the question on if Apple is using the recent kerfuffle as a marketing ploy.
Segment 4: Charlie turns the table on Sully and gets his thoughts on MARTA, talk about gondolas for [Six Flags over] Sandy Springs, and discuss a partnership to study ziplines from the King and Queen buildings off of I-285 and GA-400 for better MARTA station access.
That wraps up another week of GeorgiaPol Radio. As always, we are thankful for Rich “Sully” Sullivan for allowing us to commandeer an hour of his show every week. You can listen to GeorgiaPol Radio every week at 12 noon on WGST 640AM in the Atlanta area or anywhere on our gigantic rock flying through space through your web browser or the iHeartRadio app on your phone.
