Delvis Dutton’s Press Release:
DELVIS DUTTON DEPARTS STATE HOUSE RACE, ENTERS SENATE DISTRICT 19 RACE
(GLENNVILLE, GA) – Following the unexpected announcement by long-serving State Senator Tommie Williams that he will not be seeking another term, Delvis Dutton of Glennville has decided to end his bid for State House and instead seek that of Georgia’s 19th State Senate seat serving Appling, Jeff Davis, Long, Montgomery, Telfair, Toombs, Treutlen, Wayne and Wheeler counties and portions of Tattnall and Liberty counties.
Dutton said of the move, “In light of recent events and much prayerful thought and consideration, I believe that I can represent this region, serving 11 counties, with a strong voice of conservatism as I serve as 1 of 56 senators working to protect the assets of these counties while articulating our concerns. Very few people in the 19th Senate district have legislative experience. This district has too many complex needs to be underrepresented and risk being served by someone accountable to special interests.”
Delvis joins the Senate race with the support and endorsements of State Senator Josh McKoon and State Representatives Stephen Allison, Timothy Barr, Buzz Brockway, Michael Caldwell, Kevin Cooke, Michael Dudgeon, Geoff Duncan, John Pezold, David Stover, and Regina Quick.
