I’m grabbing Lucy and heading over to the Pumpkin Patch. Anybody wanna come along?
http://nypost.com/2016/03/20/will-hillary-get-charged-or-what/
Like Linus, you might have a long wait.
Could be, could be…does she feel that blood pressure strap tightening? Pssst, psssst, pssst, pssst…
Unless you have Schroeder in the patch playing Beethoven, Lucy is not going to stick around the patch with Linus… Just saying.
You’re right of course! I meant Sally!
Have you ever known anyone indicted and sent to prison for email abuse? Anyone? Ever?
Do we indict Colin Powell and Rice for the same actions?
I would say you are on a quixotic quest but we are fresh out of windmills. If only we were fresh out of hot air.
Petraeus was indicted and convicted of a felony. No jail. So, there is precedent for a criminal action here. Slick Hilly has done far worse, too. What say you about her actions? Are you comfortable about classified info being sent back and forth over an unsecured server? Is it worthy of an indictment? Or are you so in the tank for her that you’d overlook obvious criminal conduct?
First, neither Powell or Rice had an unsecured private server in their closet hosting classified emails. Just a small detail that dems overlook every time this bogus defense is spewed.
Beyond that, it is a ridiculous position that you folks take regarding this matter. It would be like me getting pulled over for speeding then arguing that everybody else does it. Most responsible adults refrain from claiming ignorance of the law as a defense, especially appropriate if you are a renowned former lawyer running for president.
To save some time let’s just assume I’m always right…
I was hoping to have that distinction for myself! 🙂
Too late.
The story behind setting a minimum commission on health care insurance has to be interesting. And sponsored by a GOP insurance agent ? Guess some provider is figuring out how to disrupt that business and provide cheaper insurance with less agents.
Obama is pushing for more payments for post Presidency and the GOP wants to reduce it for @$ earned elsewhere.

The perks of office are a guaranteed bigger piece of pie.
Cuba is desperate for the US to save their government, Russia, China and Venezula could not afford them any more.
Kinda odd him proposing this just as he’s fixin’ to walk out the door.
He’s almost as clever as our legislators – we just thought they were dumb wrangling over religion. They now can spend two days rushing through state pay and pension raises, bonuses, insurance commissions and all sorts of WTF stuff before questions are raised.
I know, I know…(Putting hands up…) What does this have to do with politics? This was just too good to pass up. WTA prez says women players ride the coat tails of Federer and Nadal. Comments on their attractiveness, that sort of thing. Can one of you lawyers help with with my draft exhumation order of Bobby Riggs?

The NYT article on the relationship between Trump and the media does a great job of highlighting a broader issue facing our nation, the commercialization of information. As cable news, and now traditional news outlets are forced to chase clicks/ratings for their survival, of course you’d see the rise of someone as content-heavy as Donald Trump.
What felt like a slow drip towards feedback-loop heavy cable news (Fox, MSNBC) in the 04/08 cycles has spread to traditional media. The Washington Post used to be one of the old stalwarts, along w/ the NYT or WSJ. But now every “story” in the Google Newsfeed is some WaPo article driven to exploit the algorithm to drive revenue, independent of “newsworthiness”. Kudos to Jeff Bezos for spotting this trend.
I’m not sure what the answer is, but you could argue that information distribution is becoming more of a national security issue than ever. A “well-informed electorate” appears to be a thing of the past and even ABC (Disney), NBC (Comcast), and CBS (CBS Corp.) are chasing clicks over criticism.
Does Google change its revenue model to “do no evil”? Increase NPR funding to be more like the BBC?
Somethings gotta give…
Not related to Trump but a size issue: The pressure for “reporters” to get clicks got Hulk Hogan $115 million….if he can collect….
Trying to reopen qualifing in Catoosa? http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/local/story/2016/mar/20/catoosgop-seeks-reopen-qualifying-district-3/356195/ I think this is horse hokey. Mr. Hill signed up prepared to take on Mr. Weldon just because noone else had the cahonas to do this doesn’t mean they should be allowed to now. They could always sign up as an independent if they feel so moved.
Not often I offer praise for Obama, but today he deserves it for finally opening relations with Cuba. After 57 years of silence, Obama reached out to the Castro bros and progress has been quick. This will be huge for Delta, UPS and so many other Georgia companies along with the benefits to agriculture, IT and other industries. Obama deserves credit for pushing this effort.
Russia was a benefactor to Cuba as was Venezula and when the Chinese moved in they made it clear that relations must be mutually beneficial. Cuba said all China wants to do is sell us refrigerators and control manufacturing……..so Cuba comes to Obama….every franchised business in Florida has asked their franchisee to give them Cuba, we will see how much Obama sweetens that pot with taxpayer money and opening the door wider to refugees.
Private enterprise has adequate capital and the ambition/opportunities to take this task on, let them, not the Feds. Not that the Feds don’t need to keep an eye on our participating in Cuba’s notorious human rights violations.
I sure hope our port authority has made a call on them as other ports have.
PS I’ll get snarky and say Obama isn’t there for us primarily but to prove he is an anti- colonialist with gifts and replace Che on the t-shirts.
Maybe he will let them drill in the Atlantic or Gulf.
Franchisor or..er…not franchisee, I blame auto spell
The Cubans probably should have stuck with Trafficante and Meyer Lansky.
Nah, Lansky was good with Batista, then Fidel nationalized his casinos, game over. Raul’s mark is Obama and as dealing as the Clntons are that’s good times for them if she prevails.
Lansky’s quote regarding Cuba, “I crapped out”.
I was being a bit facetious but my point was that for the Cuban people as a whole they were better off with Batista and the gangsters getting a piece of the action as opposed to Castro getting almost all of the action. The initial exodus of Cubans to the US may have had a few gangsters and rich playboys but it also created a brain drain and had a lot of educated bourgeois. Castro was later able to play Carter to unload from the bottom end but his dictatorship has left an overall poorer populace than they likely would have had without the pretend communism.
This is maybe the most bizarre article I’ve read in a while. “Kidnapping is a real possibility.” http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/03/20/donald-trump-must-beware-of-the-trojan-horse-delagates/
Clinton laments the “awful legacy of the last eight years”. What is that? Dayyummmm!
You need to cite a reference pumpkin… And you need to state WHICH Clinton said it. Let me help you out.
http://www.weeklystandard.com/bill-clinton-trashes-obama-awful-legacy-of-the-last-eight-years/article/2001665…
Just because you’re now ‘great’ (whatever that means) doesn’t mean you can start saying stuff with out a reference. Keep this up and you are going to get turned in to a pie real quick.
You’re welcome.
You promise!? Lol!
