Isakson to Host U.S. Military Service Academy Day
U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, along with other members of Georgia congressional delegation, will host hundreds of students at his annual U.S. Military Service Academy Day this Saturday, April 30th. This event is for Georgia students in grades eight through twelve who are interested in learning about the U.S. Military Service Academies. It has become the largest event of its kind in the country.
U.S. Representatives Jody Hice (R-10), Barry Loudermilk (R-11), Tom Price (R-6), Lynn Westmoreland (R-3), and Rob Woodall (R-7) are all scheduled to participate in the event. There will also be representatives from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Military Academy, as well as the director of the U.S. Department of Defense’s Medical Examinations Review board, who will give presentations regarding their requirements and expectations for admittance.
The event will be held at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, GA (1408 Dobbins Place) from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. Doors will open at 9:00 AM. More than 1,200 students and family members are expected to attend.
