Just another Millennial
Hello everyone! I am super excited to be given the opportunity to begin interning with GeorgiaPol! I am really looking forward to writing about the important issues of today and cannot wait to get to work. With that, I will introduce myself.
My name is Kevin Parker, and I am a sophomore at the University of Georgia who is working on completing his bachelor’s in political science and master’s in public administration over, what is now, the next three years. Bremen, Georgia, on the west side of the state, is where I call home. The small rural town feel and closeness of the community has helped craft by desire to give back and serve my community. In 5th grade, I was given the opportunity to go to Washington D.C. After that, I developed an ever growing passion for politics and history. Nothing gets my heart racing like the intensity of a campaign and nothing gets me more pumped than to see parliamentary procedure in action.
When I arrived in Athens, I hit the ground running. I immediately got involved with the College Republicans and the Presidential election. I was blessed with opportunities to campaign for local Republican candidates, as well as for Senator Marco Rubio. I was also elected the Membership Director for the UGA College Republicans. When not working on something dealing with politics, I am either studying for class, going for a run, or hanging out with my amazing friends, who will all testify that I am a driven individual who knows his strengths and weaknesses, and who sets clear goals for himself.
In that case, I believe that is enough about me. I am very humbled to be able to intern here, and I look forward to acquiring valuable experience that will help me in future careers.

Welcome, Kevin!
I like my coffee black. #justsaying
Welcome. 🙂
I supported Rubio and it is encouraging to see that many young republicans supported him also.
