I won’t link to the video because an actual death occurred, but a bull gored a matador in Spain this weekend. Karma.
If Rubio was the Repub nominee Hilly would have chosen Perez or Castro as her vp but now she will likely select Kaine.
On the other side while Mike Flynn would be an interesting selection Newtie still has the inside track.
Or Mike Pence. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/jul/10/donald-trump-likely-choose-indiana-gov-mike-pence-/
Pence fits much better than Gingrich on family values issues. Whether that’s good or bad I leave to you.
I hope Pence doesn’t agree to be Trump’s VP. I would like to see him run in 2020 and I think being Trump’s VP would hurt him.
Nobody who has realistic chances for their own future presidential run will agree to be on Trump’s ticket. That’s why it will be between Christie, Gingrich or this general.
Flynn reminds me of Admiral Stockdale, Perot’s vp with the key differences that Flynn is younger and would be more knowledgeable on issues.
Whoever accepts Trumps VP position will have to be someone with absolutely nothing to lose because, lets’ face it, they are going to lose bigtime. With that in mind, I can think of only two people who fit the bill. The Dummy or the Tummy. Sarah Palin or Chris Christy.
I’m personally hoping for Palin. Love the whole word salad speeches she belts out.
Like the last chapter of Ulysses but with a snow machine instead of a hand.
Stress relief: a Georgia highway with signs that read: just ahead, Peaches, live bait and moonshine. Then Sunday lunch at Cheddars in Valdosta surrounded by laughing women in bright colored church outfits wearing huge fancy hats.
I can at least agree with the critics that the death penalty as implemented is not a deterrent. There are probably extenuating circumstances but on the face of it a guy killing his drinking buddy in a drunken brawl sounds less heinous than many others not on death row.
For whatever reason, the guy you speak of got the death penalty. While it might not be a deterrent, more importantly to me and maybe just to me, is the death penalty’s importance as a punishment.
Why? You either get to go hang out with Jesus who loves you, or you cease to exist and effectively escape any further torment or regret for your actions.
Evan Bayh has decided to run for Senate in Indian. That puts another Republican held senate seat into play.
Regarding the so called protests taking place in Atlanta, I have to agree with former mayor Andrew Young’s analysis – “Those are some unlovable little brats out there some times” he goes on to say, “These kids are able to show off with no consequences. I just hope they get tired of it” – from AJC today.
The folks gathering to block streets today should spend a few hours with real protesters like Young who actually accomplished what they set out to do. Set a goal, work toward it then find a solution working with those who make the final decisions. Right now they just come across as rudderless agitators with no idea what they want or how to get it.
No, they really didn’t. They were orderly, often dressed in suits and ties, nice dresses, showed quiet dignity that won hearts and minds. It’s insulting to great men and women to compare them to these anarchists spewing racial hate rhetoric. These are a bunch of brats, led by professional agitators, demanding that police bring them food and water in order that they keep breaking the law. That’s just an upside-down world.
