On this date in 1735, Freedom of the press was established with an acquittal of John Peter Zenger. The writer of the New York Weekly Journal had been charged with seditious libel by the royal governor of New York. The jury said that “the truth is not libelous.”

+, Trolling, nah, it was a great way for the public defender to get his point across. It would be perfect if the assigned attorney is bound to accept the duty.

Real question, no snark. In the bathroom case linked to above, does the term “transgender boy” mean a girl wanting to become male or a boy wanting to become female? Because if he’s a born male, of course he could use the boys room. Am I following this right?
