Georgia first in minimum jail time for DUI? Did a fully loaded legislator (in more ways than one) driving 72mph in a 45mph at 2.5 times the legal limit in the middle of the afternoon with a car full of people spend any time in jail other than when arrested? Not saying I support minimum or the guy should’ve served time, just that ratings aren’t always what they’re cracked up to be.
Yep. Sure the laws are strict. But no one actually gets the full brunt of the law. Pay the right lawyer and enough money and most people get off without any jail time whatsoever and keep their licenses.
Its a crock of….
Minimum period of imprisonment for first DUI in Georgia is ten days however sentence may be suspended, stayed, or probated by judge except if driver registered over .08 driver must serve at least 24 hours.
Bogota Update: August 11th – The major advocate here for the bathroom debate is their Education Minister. And sticking with The Agenda, she mentioned the ridiculously absurd notion that sex can be “assigned” at birth. Callers went nuts! LOL! It was an absolute hoot. Comments went from “How can a newborn girl be assigned a boy?” and vice versa. Those with a sense of humor advocated asking the newborn if they felt like a girl or boy today! Others with a basic rudimentary knowledge science correctly pointed said that boys and girls are genetically born girls and boys (xx, xy), (don’t you just hate science?!) which of course, brought howls of derision from the Colombian libs! The more practical asked about how they were going to fill out the “sex” section of little Carlos’ birth certificate. I ate two containers of popcorn listening to the indignant parents square off with the South American Socialists!!. Like most first-run movies, this debate is just a little late getting here!! Point is: They Will Never Stop. Ever…
don’t you just hate science?

There’s so much we don’t understand about human neurology— but I imagine we’ll find a biological cause for the sensation of most gender dysphoria (caution, more science!)

Keep pushing That Agenda/That Narrative. And take a biggggg swig off of that giant tumbler of Kool Aid! LMAO!!
You’re the one posting anecdotes in top level comments. And you’re the one making an argumentum ad populum. I’m furnishing you with science that contradicts you.
You really do your position a disservice by tucking tail and running at the first sign of pushback.
ZZzzz….
The only pushback that is important here is watching everyday Colombians pushing back hard against neo-libs who are attempting to undo hundreds, if not thousands, of years of tradition in the way societies protect the welfare and privacy of their young children and women of their society. That is vastly more important than indulging the desires of three tenths of one percent of the population who have the unfortunate genetic conditions you’ve linked to. Traditional therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists can be used help those individuals to better cope. Aren’t you libs always saying what’s best for the majority of the people is the best way to run our society? Hmmm? Except in this case though, huh?
Grown men and women have been escorting their sons and daughters into the “wrong” bathroom for as long as there have been bathrooms big enough for more than a single occupant. So it’s clear that it’s not about having a rooster in the hen house.
It’s really the same thing that made people upset that their kid’s English teacher was a homosexual. They couldn’t decouple the individual from their disgusting sexual perversions. And they assumed they must all be pedophiles. There’s a side benefit to this kind of reasoning: if you treat a class of people poorly enough, maybe they’ll see the error of their ways, or at least keep it deep in the closet so as not to offend your delicate sensibilities.
I’m glad you’ve found a country as backwards as you are. What on Earth does Colombia have to do with the US? Are they a model society now that the paramilitary death squads and Marxist guerillas have laid down their arms? If we’re going to look abroad for inspiration, why not look to a place with a better quality of life like Northern Europe. Maybe they can explain what a neolib is to you.
Helper monkeys! Pray for Mojo.

Bart said Trumps going to make bankkkkruptcy cool again.
edit – my kkkeyboard must be stickkking
“I have proposed that largest tax increase of ANY candidate – who has ran for President this year. It is a start, in MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” {UPDATE, edit has been completed}
Posted on Facebook by DJT above a new commercial about him proposing the largest tax DECREASE of any candidate.
Come on Trump team, help your supporters help you. Hire an editor.
I’m surprised this hasnt been somehow been blamed on the “librul media” or Sec. Clinton somehow.
Give it time tho…
Plenty of real things to blame on the ‘librul media’.
On that topic, Trump et al need to move past the obvious bias that has been a factor in media coverage for years. I fall into the trap occasionally, but it really serves no purpose to constantly mention media bias when everybody already knows it is the reality facing GOPer candidates every election. Reminds me of the Atlanta Hawks a few seasons ago where the players were constantly griping about referees. Every night, ‘referee blew it’. Eventually the complaints fall on deaf ears even if true.
That would probably make a lively discussion topic. Media Bias.
It’s easy to say in a general way, but in a more specific context, it sure seems like unabashedly conservative outlets dominate rating and airtime.
Secondly, in recent times it’s (in my perception) conservatives making extraordinary claims or taking controversial positions, so of course they will be called out for it.
I mean really, when conservatives try to implement voter restrictions claiming to prevent fraud but can produce no evidence of any fraud, what is the press supposed to do? When conservatives try to bust unions or block gun background checks or ban abortions- this isn’t media bias when they get called out for it. Those are controversial topics that affect people.
Georgia’s GOP Governor Helps Illegals By Giving Them Drivers’ Licenses
http://www.breitbart.com/immigration/2016/08/10/illegals-georgia-gop-governor-drivers-licenses/
Jeremy Redmon of the AJC covered this a couple of days ago.
“The Georgia Driver Services Department has stopped asking immigrants who have federal work permits and who are applying for green cards to submit proof of “legal admission” to the U.S. before they can get state driver’s licenses, according to a court settlement announced Monday.”
I don’t know what your link says since I don’t knowingly click through to breitbart, but at a guess they don’t mention work permits. Here’s the AJC link: http://www.ajc.com/news/news/state-regional-govt-politics/georgia-settles-drivers-license-suit-filed-by-immi/nsCPC/
