At this stage of the Presidential situation what do registered Republican bloggers expect to accomplish by constantly posting bashings of Trump and Pence ? Burning the house down is not the road to a fresh start.
There are a lot of serious GOP issues to keep on the table and work for.
And their being associated with Trump is subject damaging them all.
They can stick to GOP issues as being back handed associated with Clinton is flat creepy.
The house is already fully involved and at this point Trump probably has more incendiary material than you have fire hoses.
Isakson is running for senate so it is correct for him not to talk about Trumpet if he chooses not to. Let Warnock and the other dems scream all the want. Does Warnock ever talk religion in his church or does he just talk politics?
I had berated Kemp recently for not having placed constitutional amendments on the SoS website. The reason he couldn’t do so was that the Gov, Lt Gov and a third member of the General Assembly (Speaker?) hadn’t completed concoction of the misleading wording that is characteristic of the presentation of Constitutional amendments on Georgia ballots.
The preamble concocted by the three to the wording in the General Assembly legislation for a Constitutional Amendment allow state takeover of failing schools……
“Provides greater flexibility and state accountability to fix failing schools THROUGH INCREASING COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT”. (my capitalization).
An unelected state bureaucrat choosing to seize a school, the local tax dollars that fund it and take over operation or close it is the antithesis of increased community involvement. And the GOP establishment wonders why it lacks credibility with its base?
The last few weeks have seen many criticisms of Trump’s campaign entourage while glossing over those in the Clinton camp. Now this – http://nypost.com/2016/08/29/huma-abedin-says-shes-leaving-anthony-weiner/
One has to question the character of a person who would stay with a douchebag like Weiner. And you have to wonder how much this unhinged idiot heard from his wife before she finally got a clue and left him today. One more area of concern that should cause voters to question the leadership, temperament and character judging ability of HRC.
Or question the character of a man who would cheat on multiple wives always with a younger hotter one. Oh…. wait….. that’s Trump. But he gets a pass becasue he’s a man right? You are so blinded by partisanship you have gone full stupid.
A man can cheat on his wife, but how dare a women try to work on her marriage with her husband? How dare she try to keep her family together. You truly have lost what little respect I still had for you. This election is about Hillary and Trump. Not Huma and her ass of a husband.
One would also have to ask why Hilly stayed with the amoral Billy all these years?
perhaps the marital bonds of forgiveness and strength, and good moral character and judgment?
Or perhaps Hilly’s political ambition.
probly all of the above
No, I could not say that it would be reasonable to question the character of someone who tried to hold a marriage together. Especially after they had a child together.
You got it ACP. If you’re going to question Trump based on those around him, then by all means we should examine the people closest to Hillary. And nobody is closer than Carlos Danger’s estranged wife.
There you go ACP, trying to accomplish the impossible, thinking. The ‘sanctity of marriage’ was broken about the time 50% of all heterosexual marriages ended in divorce so save me the standard dem soundbite replies.
Most folks I know find actions taken by HRC and her gang to be reprehensible and Huma has been a constant companion for all the shenanigans. So if we are going to criticize Trump for hiring certain people to help with his campaign, I believe it is only fair to examine those around Hillary with the same microscope. CGI, CF, Teneo Group, etc. all have paid Huma while she was on the government payroll working directly for Hillary. Meanwhile her ‘marriage’ is falling apart as her ‘husband’ tweets penis pics even though he had been caught multiple times. There are so many reasons to question this arrangement, even the NYTimes has an editorial about portions of it today.
I can sum it thusly, if a woman is willing to leave her young child alone with a pervert like Carlos Danger, then one has to question her decision making. If she cares so little about her kid, hard to see how she will be a caring public servant. (See last pic he sent with the boy in the background as he is daddy is half naked).
my guess is the sanctity of marriage was relevant to Huma, and Anthony was lying about his activities to her. so, to say the relationship should be questioned is to say that marital motives and decisions matter. is there a suggestion that something beyond love- like payoffs – are involved in their marital decision? that it was politically easier to stay than to go? the decision to separate was probly even harder for Huma, knowing the political scrutiny she and her candidate are under. but it appears undoubtedly the right thing to have done. why put lemon juice on the cut? and ignore the importance of marriage?
I’ll wrap it up this way. Would you let your young child be alone with Anthony Weiner and a smartphone? If yes, seek help.
And I would say top aides lives are fair game. It’s just that… she did the right thing! She gave him a second chance and he screwed up again so she threw him out. How else is that supposed to play out? She has really been an excellent role model for how to handle that situation (to the extent that we know what all happened).
If you are going to pick on aides’ lives, I’d choose another event or another aide. There’s no smoke here let alone a fire. It’s only the typical conservative obsession with all things prurient.
This is what losing campaigns do when they know they have no hope of winning. Throw around dumb distractions. You still have not addressed my original comment. I wish you would. For now I will leave you with this. Let’s play who said it, Anthony Weiner or Donald J. Trump? Hint the same person said all of these quotes.
“You know, it really doesn’t matter what they write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass. But she’s got to be young and beautiful.”
“It must be a pretty picture,” he said to her. “You dropping to your knees.”
While @BetteMidler is an extremely unattractive woman, I refuse to say that because I always insist on being politically correct.
“There’s a lot of women out there that demand that the husband act like the wife and you know there’s a lot of husbands that listen to that,”
I’m tired of reading, but you get the picture. You and all of your tone deaf Trump supporters will be holding hands crying on election night and I’ll simply say I told you so. We are about to lose women voters by landslide numbers and it’s becasue people like you continue to argue about dumb shit like Huma’s ass of a husband which you are so clueless to know how that offends women.
Let’s hope people like you can keep your mouth shut in 2020 so that we will actually have a chance of beating Hillary, but that would be too much to ask for. We already know you will blame Trump’s loss on the establishment and not the fact that he just an all around piece of crap.
FYI, Washington Post is live streaming Pence rally in Perry GA.
Not quite the Olympics….
The EU doesn’t like the way the Irish tax Apple and demand they go get $1.1 billion and send it to Brussels……..US not so thrilled with how the EU wants to tax our corporations either……
PS
Now today the news media says the Irish owe 13 billion EU for Apple, a tough number to swallow as I think that is more than the net of what Great Britain’s total payment to Brussels was.
As it gets tight on the Brussels bureaucrats to live their lifestyle it is going to be rough on the remaining players. Unless they are connected to legal doings.

May be time for Ireland to leave the EU.
Britain’s Petitions Committee meets on Sept 5 to debate.
Scotland would like to head to the EU thinking they could then keep their oil money revenue, crazy, as the EU is ready to suck it up. Then there is China that is already the largest oil operator in Scotland’s North Sea.
