Just under two months before the general election, Republican Drew Ferguson has earned the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business in his race for the third district open seat currently held by Lynn Westmoreland. In a press release, NFIB National Political Director said, “Drew Ferguson would be a strong defender of small business in Congress. Small business owners are burdened by high taxes and excessive red tape and need legislators who will free them to succeed. Ferguson would be an advocate for entrepreneurs in the U.S. House.”
Ferguson responded by restating his commitment to the small businesses the NFIB represents. “Entrepreneurialism is the backbone of the American economy and the pass key to the American Dream. I couldn’t be more proud to have the endorsement of the NFIB and so many hard-working independent men and women across the district.”
Ferguson, who defeated State Sen. Mike Crane in the GOP primary is favored to defeat Democrat Angela Pendley in the overwhelmingly Republican third district, which stretches along the Peach State’s western half, from Carrollton to Columbus.
