Georgia State administration will make $1.2M Saturday when Georgia State players get curb-stomped against Wisconsin.
I don’t think Georgia State’s administration will get any of that money. Haven’t seen any numbers lately but would be willing to bet the football program still loses money.
I expect you’re right. To be clearer, I should have said that some entity of UW-Madison will write a big check to some entity of GSU as payment for the thumping they’ll deliver to the Panther football team Saturday. GSU is new to the game but they’ve learned you can’t justify operating at a loss unless you can point to growing revenue.
“Only 10 of the 205 Division 1-level athletic departments in the U.S. gave more money to their schools than what they received in subsidies. A whopping zero of those 10 schools are in Georgia meaning UGA, Tech, GSU and Southern are all guilty of corrupting their schools for the benefit of athletics.” — edatlanta

The Senate worked only three and a half days last week after a seven-week “August” recess. There are rumblings that this week they may focus on Obamacare, highlighting that measures that have virtually no chance of enactment are more important than their Constitutional duty to advise and consent with respect a Supreme Court nomination that has been pending for six months.
Maybe McConnell will settle for a stop-gap funding bill, and then adjourn, since Dems need not co-operate, and a half dozen GOP Senators are facing robust challenges. Waiting 4 months for a new Congress to enact a budget makes as much sense as waiting 11 months for the next President to make an appointment to the Supreme Court.
A short-term Senate bill to avoid a government shutdown would then be up to the House. Tons of fun, since the bill couldn’t go back to the Senate because they won’t be there. Ryan would have to bring to the floor of a House held hostage by the House Freedom Conference (HFC) that McConnell had negotiated with Reid and Obama.
The HFC disdain McConnell. They hate Reid. They’re apoplectic about anything the Kenyan Muslim has a hand in. Ryan would have to work with Pelosi to get Democrats to support the bill, which would put his Speakership on the line.
Even the liberal Washington Post says her health is a real issue now…Bad, bad optics.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/09/11/hillary-clintons-health-just-became-a-real-issue-in-the-presidential-campaign/
You’re hysterical! Defend her at all costs! LOL!
“Nothing to see here, move along, move along…” “Really, now, are you gonna “bleve me or yore lyin’ eyes?”
Questions have been asked about her health for months! Years, actually.
If not for this episode caught on tape, yall would say the health concerns were all a “big conspiracy…” Gotta keep up that Narrative.
As far as an over weight Trump, he isn’t stumbling around and being held up like the lead in Weekend at Bernie’s 2. So, no, there is not, nor should there be an “equal” amount of attention, at least today, about his health. KFC and McDonald’s? Seriously? Bubba used to eat that crap like a Thanksgiving feast. It was just cute back then, I guess!

Noway, I saved this from my weekend reading just for you…

Thanks, I guess. Have you gotten to go out and shoot pistols yet? Tell that brother of your to take you!! LOL!
My brother and I live in two different states, plus its bow season up by him right now. On the plus side, I am researching gun ranges for a client, and have a field trip planed.
The article has historical context on gender based restrooms and a good example of universal design for individual rest rooms vs. mega gang restrooms. Most of the issues people have with ‘protecting the safety of the womenfolk’ can be resolved by better design options but building codes force gang restrooms with multiple stalls over self contained toilet rooms.
Then I will leave this issue in your always capable hands!

Will,
As you are big on blasting the GOP Presidential nominee your time could be spent on other GOP concerns like Hillary or good things going on, To be true, for sure you have registered with some other party by now.
In regard to the Boston article on demographic changes in Georgia being stressful…..IMO Trump, who is called out on immigration concerns, more likely is in the group with Chairman Chaffetz on criminal illegals and the Feds getting a grip on the lack of will to manage immigration.

From the linked monopoly piece
In the 1930s, Brandeis argued that large companies would inevitably exploit their workers, convert their profits into political influence, and corrode both the market and the machinations of government. But the Reagan administration and subsequent lawmakers have allowed vertical and horizontal integration on the theory that economies of scale often benefit both employees and consumers.
Tell me then…who was right? (hint…it wasnt Bork)
Its staggering when you think of the number of companies we deal with on a daily basis that either control the market or have a majority stake. Dont like the cable co? Nowhere really to go. Drug prices? Three companies basically control all retail pharmacies. Airlines, Grocery Stores…your IPhone or Android phone…the list goes on. Even in the face of blatantly anticompetative actions (Apple giving preferential treatment to their app over another owned by someone else). Then there is Google using their market share to arbitrarily delist a website and give no real reason (its the algorithm). Its time, actually past time for the Justice Dept to start acting on these anti competitive practices and for the Congress, who says they fight for small business (the same ones getting crushed by the big guys), to pass laws to crack down on To Big and enact laws to protect small business from being sued out of existence in frivolous law suits in the name of copyright and piracy that have no merit. Hey Perdue…you want to be useful? Stop with the stupid crap you’ve been doing and think about doing something that actually makes a difference to people you represent.
Just an FYI…
Just got off the phone with Stallone. After a brief discussion, I’ve convinced him that his next project should be, not the next installment of the “Expendables” but a new offering called the “Deplorables” which lucky enough for me, I’ll be offered a rather large cameo for bringing him the idea! It’s about all the folks that Hilly insulted this past Friday. Maybe a smattering of Bitter Clingers, too!
Drew, you’re defending the undefendable in this particular point. Nothing short of a full apology from her for her remarks will make this die down. You have to admit the political stupidity of her comments. Her opponents aren’t going to let this go. Just like you and I taking separate sides, except on a bigger scale. Your side still has, it appears, a bigger likelihood of winning in November. We’ll obviously see if this does any real damage. Having our differences on almost every issue, lets us have a beer one day!
I will not and cannot defend the Deplorables. The trailer park, meth heads, KKK wannabees,Florida cretins, Confederate flag waving assholes supporting Trump. If these are your relatives, your cousins, yourself in the mirror, God help you because the world has passed you by and you are considered trash and disposable.
Oh, Mannnnn!! Love it! Keep posting, Cat!! Should I be quaking in my boots about your “disposable” comment!? What a complete and absolute fool! LMAO!!
