What does the UN’s Agenda 21 initiative have to do with a small town repairing its sidewalks? Is someone trying to abscond with a few straws?
Oh, you don’t get the joke about sidewalks and Agenda 21? You must be new here.

These sidewalks are government pork, and a huge give away to construction firms and big shoe leather.
The answer is tolled sidewalks that pay for themselves– that way if they aren’t really needed they won’t get built in the first place.
Require barcodes on shoes and magnetic readers on sidewalks to track usage. You walk in our town, you get a bill every month.
Oh I get the joke, and I’ve read some of the past comments about the UN’s initiative. Seems you could get more comic mileage by tying it to local government pork rather than a one size fits all utopian pipe dream. The truth is you need to give blue hairs (Actually I’m Platinum now) like me a level surface to walk on… excuse me, for our walkers…….
Thing is I am kind of lazy with my A21 jokes.
I’m obviously in a bizzarro world. Many news outlets and shows shows a Trump win. Like I posted last night, I thought he did badly. Anyway, I guess i’ll jump back on his bandwagon!! Lol! This is crazy!!
Trump was terrible after the first half hour and if the debate had gone on much longer he would have started frothing, but he’s the kind of pol you have to grade on a curve and from where I sat he nailed a C-minus, which should be enough to keep his fans and handlers happy. After Fox and his kids buck him up a little, he’ll can get back to the pandering and insults and half-information that is his campaign.
He had a low bar to reach… First major one on one, not a politician, Blah blah blah.
This is the getting to know you debate. It reinforced each of their bases, let the people who don’t follow stuff like we do get a first look and the weekend poll -, manly the tabs and demographics – will see if independents are starting to lean and the party strugglers who don’t want to vote for their chosen candidate can find a way to fall in line.
We have these sidewalks that go nowhere in Ellijay, too! I strongly suspect this is SPLOST funded projects.
Someone help me with the details here, don’t they have to spend the money on some kind of outdoor improvement projects? “Use it or lose it?” kind of thing.
Either way, it is a waste and only benefits 3-4 people.
