I will give Kaine a win only because it’s easier to defend Hilly than Trumpet though at times Kaine was too aggressive. It was interesting to note both candidates have dysfunctional policies on several issues such as immigration, social security, spending and foreign affairs.
Kaine’s style turned everyone off. The format made it almost impossible to follow, and both men’s out of context answers made the blows landed virtually irrelevant. At the end of the day it gives partisans something to argue about but changes nothing for 2016. Pence has helped himself among the Cruz crowd for future races.
The Cruz crowd with have flocked to someone else by the next cycle. Cruz has no future in nationwide politics and Pence is very likely on a sinking ship.
Is it really that hard to type Hillary? Look, I’m not very impressed with her either, but when you and others type “Hilly”, it makes you sound stupid.
The irony is that there would be a lot of clips to work with (from a D perspective) due to Pence’s inaccuracies but because Kaine kept interrupting they aren’t going to be clean.
Think I’d rather have Pence at the top of the ticket, as opposed to the New York billionaire. Pence shows you can be conservative without being an “in your face” guy like a Ted Cruz or Rick Santorum. But vice presidential debates don’t really change the outcome of the game, and besides, the hurricane coverage will probably dominate the next few days…speaking of which, when I hear people say they wish Atlanta were closer to the ocean, this is the time of year (hurricane season) that I am glad we are inland!
Your first sentence was my thought too.
If you think Trump is a failure in attracting women voters, try running Pence. Women despise him. Loathe him. If I had a handy thesaurus, I would keep typing.
What’s so bad about Pence that women should hate him?
He is pro-life. How dare he!
Yes, the Eiger is right…Pence does not subscribe to the Democratic party platform of abortion on demand at any time, for any reason, paid for by your tax dollars. Abortion was condemned in the early Church (before the split into Catholic and Orthodox camps in 1054), though in the 1960s and 1970s the liberal trend in much of Protestantism seemed to embrace the practice (so-called “religious coalition for abortion rights” organizations), almost as if a sacrament….I wonder what was in Tim Kaine’s coffee the other night? He certainly seemed pretty hyper—even he admitted his wife said he interrupted Pence too much.
