Fort Makes It Official — He’s Running for Atlanta Mayor
In what shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone familiar with Gold Dome and Atlanta politics, State Senator Vincent Fort made it official: He will run to become Atlanta mayor in next November’s elections, according to the AJC, which quotes him as saying, “I’m running because City Hall has lost its way. It used to be a place that watched out for neighborhoods instead of millionaires and mega-projects.”
Fort is planning on a public announcement event on Saturday. At the Gold Dome, Governor Deal’s Chief of Staff was not amused

Rhetorical question for the senator, but when has Atlanta ever looked out for neighborhood interests when a mega project was in the offing?
