GeorgiaPol’s pop culture guru here to explain why the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) released a mannequin challenge video.
For those of you who are culturally illiterate, the mannequin challenge is simple. Rule 1: Gather a group together. Rule 2: Strike a pose. Rule 3: Stay still as the camera weaves through the scene. It’s similar to walking through a picture. I don’t know why it started and I don’t know why it’s important, but alas, here we are with the Georgia Department of Driver Services releasing a mannequin challenge video.
DDS does the #MannequinChallenge with new lyrics. Visit us online for #skipastep or to check wait times. https://t.co/ePrkRxwEog pic.twitter.com/r3cnkLX0ol

The video, which I’m sure Commissioner Bert Brantley had everything to do with, promotes the Georgia DDS as a quick and efficient department with empty lobbies and a friendly staff. The opposite of Zootopia.
This video also speaks to Millennials or something.
