Recounts rarely change overall results in major races so this democrat recount thing is silly particularly since Hilly already conceded. Trump’s unsubstantiated allegations are just as silly.
Sorry to hear about Ron Glass (Harris on Barney Miller). He was a very funny character.
I agree the recount is very unlikely to change overall results.
Nice false equivalence that a not unusual recount for a 0.8% win is silly and the same as Trump’s tweet “In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally”, when the latter is another demonstration of a man unfit for office.
It would be interesting to see a comparison of sales tax revenues forfeited on cyber sales and tax holidays to the expected toll road revenues.
The AJC has done exemplary work on exposing bureaucracy and waste at its worst in the Atlanta Housing Authority.
Where is the outrage ?
I’m still pretty unclear about what exactly the AHA does, other than act as a passthrough for housing vouchers, and as the selling party in real estate transactions.
Y’all hear about the boisterous Trump supporter on a Delta flight? He was enthusiastically supporting Donald and the Snowflake Hillary supporters were all in a dither! Hysterical!
Being a jackass isn’t hysterical, it’s detrimental to your cause.
You won “one” election. Being a sore winner and jackass to all doesn’t do a thing to help you win the next one.
Why so sensitive, Charlie?? The guy was having a bit of fun and Delta apologizes for NOT throwing him off the plane? Free Speech. Toughen up…grow up…Maybe Delta can rope off some “safe spaces” for the little darlings!
I suppose Hillary supporters calling Trump a fascist isn’t “helpful” for them maybe winning the next one either? Get a grip.
Part of free speech is knowing when/where to use it. If it was a MoveOn.org protest on the plane you were sitting on you would have an entirely different tone. Your comment represents a part of the GOP that is looking at this election as getting even, and as I said in last week’s column, no one ever gets ahead by trying to get even.
Trump supporters have an opportunity here. Hopefully you’re not going to blow it by continuing to celebrate the immature and unproductive at the expense of leading, governing, and persuading.
Charlie, with respect…we can listen to Moveon protestors each night on the evening news shouting slurs about Trump and looting and harassing law abiding businesses. Again, respectfully, these store-bought Soros protestors are certainly trying to get even, some of it in a violent manner. I don’t see them taking an opportunity to find a new Dem candidate for next time around. If Trump doesn’t do an awful-lot of what he’s promised he’ll be out on his backside in four years.
With respect, you’re trying to create a double standard. Being a jackass doesn’t persuade, it divides. If you feel entitled to be a jackass or celebrate those that exercise that privilege (not a right, as it was done on Delta’s private property, where private property rights trump your 1st amendment rights to free speech), then go ahead. Just don’t gripe when I exercise my free speech and private property rights to call them for what they are, jackasses.
LOL! Agree to disagree. You’re all spun up about a possibly drunk vocal Trump advocate on a “private” Delta flight when we have hundreds of violent Dem-paid protestor looting “private” store fronts and dragging drivers out of their “private” cars…I think that behavior is much more “divisive…”
Whereas you’re into situational rights, which is far more dangerous.
I’m going to guess a couple of weeks ago you were outraged that the people who paid to see Hamilton were subjected to political propaganda. But the people on the Delta flight who paid for air transport should just quit whining because Trump supporters need to get even in the race to the bottom with MoveOn.org folks. You’re a hypocrite. That’s OK, you have a right to that too.
By spiking the football for winning “one” election, you’re already doing your part to lose the next one. Congrats. For…something.
This gets better with each of your posts! No one was asking the theatre management to throw the dipsh*t actors off the stage for their political grandstanding, but let a good ‘ol boy get a Trump dig in and it’s Katie Bar the Door because of his teasing…LOL!
from the facts, it looks like the man was cursing, hurled a misogynistic word, and was loudly insulting those who supported HRC. especially not on a plane, where the area is enclosed, will free speech rights condone disturbances of the peace, which is a crime for a reason.
bringing up the questionable or criminal actions of others to justify one’s criminal actions?
irrelevant, illogical, and dangerous.
I blame the Airlines. Airlines that do not control loud obnoxious (drunk) folks on a plane to avoid the P.C. aftermath (race, religion, dress/appearance, politics, etc.) from those that weren’t there, are high on my jackass list…..having just gone through a situation on Southwest.
But maybe Charlie’s sensitivity is he was just on the wrong plane after Saturday’s game.
Every man I know, regardless of political view, would have punched that guy out. He would have been hog tied to his seat and offloaded to the air marshals. No excuse for how Delta handled this.
Airline stands down but mob action needed for a loud mouth ?
Next time the police stand down, you just might not want to restrain the noisy marchers…….but I do support the violent and looters being stopped or even shot by the police…and citizen backup if needed….
So was it cool or uncool for our president elect to encourage physical violence against dissenters at his campaign rallies?

Sigh…

Huff post – surprised headline wasn’t white cop shoots Somalia refugee/OSU student
But let’s give this a couple days to get the story sorted out
From article
A male suspect, whom police have identified as Ohio State University student Abdul Razak Ali Artan, attacked people with a vehicle and a butcher’s knife at the school on Monday
11 people were injured; one is in critical condition
Police quickly shot and killed the suspect
A Ohio State University student intentionally drove over a curb and plowed into people at the school early Monday before getting out of his car and using a butcher knife to attack them, according to OSU police.
OSU police have identified Abdul Razak Ali Artan as the suspect. An officer fatally shot him less than a minute after the attack began, OSU Police Chief Craig Stone said at a news conference.
Eleven people were injured in the attack, according to Andrew Thomas, the chief medical officer at OSU’s Wexner Medical Center.
One person is in critical condition and the rest are stable, Columbus Fire Department spokeswoman Rebecca Diehm told The Huffington Post. None of the injuries are life-threatening.
And The Great Irrelevancy continues…
