Joe Wilkinson Added To Jekyll Island Authority Board
Former State Representative Joe Wilkinson has been added to the Jekyll Island Authority Board of Directors by Governor Nathan Deal. From the Golden Isles News:
Joe Wilkinson was appointed as a new member to the board. Wilkinson served more than 11 years on the Jekyll Island Foundation and now serves as an advisory board member. Retired from The Coca- Cola Company and the United States Naval Reserve, Wilkinson resides in Atlanta and served in the Georgia House of Representatives for 16 years.
Resides in “Atlanta” is coastal Georgia terms means he lives in Sandy Springs in Atlanta terms. He’ll bring an understanding of the state’s government abilities and expectations with an equal understanding of coastal Georgia’s desire to keep the coast underdeveloped. It’s a good fit for him, and a great appointment for the State.
Also reappointed to the board on Friday were Bill Gross of Kingsland and Mike Hodges of St. Simons Island.
