The Wall Street Journal reported Trump son-law Kushner met with Time Warner executives at Time Warner—parent company of Trump’s least-favorite media organization CNN—to express concern about “unfair coverage slanted against the president.” Kushner discussed the coverage with Time Warner VP of corporate marketing and communications Gary Ginsberg in a meeting at the White House as well as with Jeff Zucker, CNN Worldwide President.
Interestingly AT&T is close to buying Time Warner in an $88B deal that’s awaiting government approval—a deal that Trump swore during the campaign would not happen.
Kushner specifically complained about two CNN pundits, conservative Ana Navarro and liberal Van Jones. After Navarro heard about it, she called him “Little Jared” and “baby boy,” in tweets, laughing out loud that “Little boy Kushner, tough guy who’s supposed to achieve Middle East peace, is complaining about me to CNN. Boo-hoo!”
If you are implying that a deal is available if they play nice, that flies against everything conservative, oligarchs and monopolies are a favored tool of the left.
Could the meeting be about airing grievances with a major player and not the merger ?
Of course it could. I know of no information to the contrary.
Monopolies and oligopolies have conservative supporters. Trump’s cabinet has oligarchic tendencies.
The silent majority that elected Trump want a workable, enforced immigration plan. Time for Democrats to get to the table to participate in a resolution. Or continue to stoke the fires of anarchy amongst the millions of illegals and those that can exploit or gain from them in the underground economy.
The silent majority that elected Trump was so silent it only constituted 46% of the vote. I don’t remember a lot of people in 1989 touting the Silent Majority of Michael S. Dukakis.
Or the less than 50% that elected The Rapist – twice!
Not interested in being draw off point on how Trump got elected but why the subject of illegal immigration is rejected by Democrats and anarchists.
W/R/T Yates, that fake @SallyYates twitter account isn’t helping any. I’ve seen people from different spheres from across the country RT that account. It’s not real – and anyway, no credible candidate would ask for RTs in order to gauge interest in their candidacy (lord, I hope not, but these days, who knows).
“The silent majority that elected Trump”…
I didn’t know that 46 percent (of the national popular vote) constituted a majority…must be the new math?!?
“Did you hear him? He said he’s not ranting and raving, but again, what president hasn’t had to say ‘I’m not ranting and raving’? Who can forget Lincoln’s tirade at Gettysburg? Or FDR’s fireside meltdowns? And, of course, Ronald Reagan famously saying, ‘Mr. Gorbachev, if you don’t tear down this f…..g wall, I’m going to lose my s..t!’” —Seth Meyers
Trump at his press conference: “To be honest, I inherited a mess.”
Stephen Colbert: “No. You inherited a fortune. We elected a mess.”
Today is the 190th birthday of General Bragg. Not the one the military base is named after. The Union General Edward S Bragg. I didn’t even know there was another General Bragg until I has in high school. Gen E.S. Bragg was part of the Wisconsin Iron Brigade, served in congress, was an envoy for Cleveland to Mexico, the consul general to both Cuba and Hong Kong under T. Roosevelt, and the Civil War monument in my hometown was modeled after him. I know all this because of my 3rd grade public school local history class taught by the late Mrs. Brown, who died on Friday.
Jesus Christ could come back, say he might run for GA-Gov as a Dem, and GeorgiaPol would be here saying they’re ready to continue their losing streak. A white, female Dem whose AAG nomination was touted by Johnny Isakson, who put the Centennial Park Bomber behind bars, whose time at AAG focused on making crooked business executives actually get jail time, and with a reputation as a straight shooter respected by both sides sounds like a pretty good candidate for statewide office to me. Obviously, would need to see how she actually performs on the stump (because candidates aren’t just resumes) and maybe not for Governor (if only because serving in the job is a different skill set) but certainly either AG or Senate. If there was a Republican pondering a run for something with that resume y’all would be licking your chops.
Thank you, Melania, for leading the country in prayer. Your words were sweet music to the ears of all of the “Deplorables” and “Bitter Clingers!!”
So… this is weird timing.

Sally Yates scares Georgia Republicans because she’s good-looking (no one wants to say it but it matters), moderate, and has an outstanding resume. With the Gubernatorial election off-cycle and current Trump hand-wringing, the easiest thing to do is discount her right out of the gate.
