Morning Reads – Thursday, March 9, 2017
On this date in 1859 the National Association of Baseball Players adopted the rule that limited the size of bats to no more than 2-1/2 inches in diameter. It is this regulatory model that the Georgia legislature used over the next few decades to help morph it into the body it is today.

So this morning I get up and find that all the efforts to repeal ObamaCare and replace it with GOPCare are comprised of three parts. Funny that no one in Ryan’s camp bothered to mention that fact until it was clear that they were the only people supporting the plan.
Nate Silver was concise and vulgar about how lousy the roll-out has been.

Ahhh, the same Nate Silver, who up until about 10:30 pm on election night, still said Hilly was gonna win. “Grain of Salt”, “Discredited”, “2016’s version of Dick Morris”, “Zzzzzzz”. Pick or create your own phrase. He better stick to sports.
“Tenn brains are wired for risky behavior” is intriguing.
“Teen brains are wired for risky behavior” less so.
I thought that was going to be about some mutation from Oak Ridge or something.
🙂
Yeah was wondering if that bleeds into Georgia brains (at least then there would be an excuse).
As for Avian Flu…that is no joke people. This strain of flu that people have caught has a 60% mortality rate and it only takes one mutation to make it transmit person to person (this virus is very close to being able to do that). Having your chickens checked is a very small price to pay vs a pandemic.
