Christie’s draft report on the opioid crisis urges quick development of fentanyl detection sensors, presumably a different sensor for each fentanyl variant. Also we should lean on the Chinese and start opening mail. Yeah, that should work.
Since ‘the amount of opioids prescribed in the U.S. was enough for every American to be medicated around the clock for three weeks’, and since the increase in prescription opioids matches precisely the increase in opioid overdoses, just maybe we should start by talking to some doctors instead.

The crisis was bought and paid for by big pharma’s promotion of opioids to physicians as safe, accompanied by lunch for the staff and convention sponsorships, plus massive direct advertisement to the public.
