Ramos is the guy on the far right of the now-famous picture of the III% Security Force with Williams at an anti-sharia protest at Piedmont Park in June.
He was also recorded at the Charlottesville rally beating counterprotesters. Ramos attacked Deandre Harris with others. Harris was left with eight staples in his head, a broken wrist and a chipped tooth. Shaun King has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the identification of the other men in the photo who assaulted Harris.
Ramos, who maintained a Facebook page under the name Michael A. Ramos, made an hour-long profane rant on Facebook claiming self defense, calling out antifa and criticizing Trump for criticizing the alt right. The rant has now been deleted, along with his account, but activists captured it.
“Every person at the UTR … was peaceful,” Ramos said. “The government of Charlottesville is a traitor. It is now the enemy of the states.”
State Sen. Williams is running for governor of Georgia. This is who he felt it necessary to be associated with. Because that’s where we are now.
For his part, Senator Williams, through a spokesman, indicated when the original photo came out that he didn’t know who the people were beyond being “pro-gun supporters.” Additionally, he put out the following statement on Charlottesville:
