Sherman believed in taking a war to the people, killing, burning and destruction of civilian properties. Today a military action to destroy the societies in a region would be considered a war crime.
Here is a great story of our community in Dade Coming together. https://wdef.com/2017/08/20/dade-county-holds-emersons-light-night-spectacular-parade/
What’s going on with the Navy? The Fitzgerald hit a merchant ship a few weeks ago and seven sailors died then. Now the McCain. Ships aren’t supposed to run into other ships but the electronics in modern warships are no good if they aren’t being monitored correctly. Time for a command review.
Would you rather have people call you a racist or change your position when you realize you’re wrong? It’s a hypothetical Trump and his supporters never worry about since he’s and they are never wrong.
.
So is Trump going to pardon Arpaio at the Trump rally at the Phoenix Convention Center tomorrow?. No one knows. Maybe not even Trump.
On a lighter note… We are in the top 10 (by ‘we’ I mean Wisconsin of course).

We just got back from an excursion to Abbeville SC. Clear skies, great views, no traffic. We were in the downtown park with a few hundred new friends, some from Clarke, some from Oconee, one from NJ, and a couple from Milwaukee. Abbeville knows how to throw an eclipse party.
To those that did see it, how was it? Impressive?
Continuing on Sis’s lighter note: if you’d just travelled 30 plus hours from halfway around the world, literally, and you had to have an American junk food fix, ehere would you go?? That is my quandry for this coming Saturday. Krystal? Longhorn? PF Chang’s? Any suggestions along the I-75 North corridor would be appreciated!
Wait, the midwesterner has to point out the obvious southern comfort 24 hour guilty pleasure to Mr. Georgia born and raised?
Waffle House
LOL! I almost listed that…
Scattered smothered capped and covered. Just like my Midwestern German – American grandma made them – although she used brick cheese.
.
Now if I could find a local source for American (aka pre WW I as Deutsch) pan fries.
