  5. Descendants of Confederate Leaders have Extreme Ambivalence on Ancestors’ Legacy 
  6. Science: Georgia State is the second-best football team in the state. 
  7. Georgia State now has a varsity eSports (I don’t know what half the words in this release mean).

    That vid puts me in the uncomfortable position of defending Trump, even though I believe he’s dumb enough to drink out of a dog bowl if enough people told him that wasn’t a good idea. I thought he was goofing at the eclipse.

    The Navy has relieved the commander of the 7th Fleet following the McCain collision which resulted in extensive damage and 10 missing sailors. An earlier and similar incident involving the USS Fitzgerald just months ago claimed seven sailors’ lives. Both ships carried state-of-the-art electronics, which makes you wonder what the watch was doing instead of checking their instruments. Apparently, Pacific command had similar questions and Admiral Aucoin takes the hit. He won’t be the last.

    Wrastling in Dade County. GHP vs. 50 year old woman who is upset because her daughter just wrecked her car. Dash cam video on TFP site. Last time this officer was involved in an abuse case the county settled for 285k.

      It’s the sort of case that very likely wouldn’t stand a chance without video. That said, general support of police is such that I don’t see it getting much traction based on the video—not that it necessarily needs to—though the officer did over-react a tad.
