We Have YET ANOTHER Candidate to Replace Vincent Fort
UPDATE: I suppose I haven’t been following this race closely. Linda Pritchett, Mable Thomas and Elijah Tutt are running as well.
Nikema Williams made it official today, announcing her campaign for Senate District 39.
If you’ve spent time at the Capitol or even been marginally involved with Democratic Party politics for the last 12 years you know Carter’s mom.
A date for the special election has not been set and it is unclear how many candidates will run. It is also hard to imagine anyone other than Williams being the odds-on favorite for the race.

Elijah Tutt has had yard signs up all over for the last few months and I think he’s already had a few fundraisers as well. No website but his FB page has some endorsements on there, and it also appears he’s been running for this seat since March 30th.
Vice President of Public Policy for the top abortion provider in the state. Pass.
Uh Oh. Mandatory abortions coming.
Actually, I suspect you will be hard-pressed to find an anti-choice candidate that could win this seat.
Hi there “GAPOL_”. You’re going to need a new screen name. Future comments will be held until you make another choice. Especially since you have nothing to do with the contributors here. Bad form on your part.
Don’t do anything drastic Charlie till I get the popcorn ready this time. 😉
An example of your and other’s efforts—in this instance blocking an obviously unsuitable screen name for this website—maintaining this website. Thanks for everyone’s efforts.
I have to make a correction. On April 29, 2017, I, Elijah Tutt held my First Campaign Kickoff at the Four Seasons Hotel. I was not only the first to file my declaration of intent, but also to have a kickoff. Please correct this insult.
