Tax Reform gets a potential boost
This morning the House of Representatives passed the Senate’s budget which makes any form of tax reform easier to pass. The vote opens the door to tax reform through the reconciliation process which permits a simple majority vote rather than the regular rules. 9th District Congressman Doug Collins had these comments after the vote:
Today, the House passed the Senate’s budget and swung open the door to pro-family, pro-worker tax reform. Northeast Georgians and their neighbors across the country have grown weary of an oppressive tax code. Americans are asking for a transparent system that allows them to keep more of their money to pursue more of their dreams, and we’re fighting for those goals alongside our neighbors each day.
Now the challenge is herding up of the GOP cats to create a simple majority.
