Remember when we believed establishment Republicans when they said Trump was outside the GOP mainstream? Trump is simply a nasty clown version of a corporate conservative with mastery of the art of the Rube.
It coming down to a judgment by Alabama voters on whether being a sexual predator/child molester is more or less objectionable than being a Democrat. The key point that being opposed to sexual predation/child molestation is to actually oppose the people that engage in it. Expressing reservations privately doesn’t count.
The GOP outside of Alabama has made its choice. If a GOP sexual predator/child molester representing Alabama is good enough for Alabamians, it’s good enough for the national GOP.
You bring up a good point about child molesters. I’m eagerly awaiting Bubba’s explanation as to why he spent so darned much time traveling with one!

On Ginny’s shaking u the middle east, I have been following Mohammad bin Salman since I read an article about him in The Economist in early 2016. He stages a bloodless coup and buys a Da Vinci all in a few months time. Also noted in the article was how natural gas is surpassing oil in use. This is a good read on US exporting of LNG. Reminder one of the 8 or so thermals for exporting is on Elba Island in the Savannah River.

Nice little irrelevant comment, but it has nothing to do with why Allred and the accuser weren’t forthcoming with a detail that has now given Moore a much needed boost. Moore still loses by 5.

As for snow…ended up with 7 inches at my house as of this morning. I’ve never seen such a busted forecast in recent memory. Hardly a “dusting”
The forecast I saw was all over the place—the forecaster stating it could be anything from a little snowy rain to a few inches snow.
I didnt see any local forecasts predict accumulating snow (over a dusting or an inch max) until it started snowing. At that point its not a forecast. Its an observation. The NAM model did predict the storm rather well, but the discussion on the NWS website while acknowledging it, discounted its validity since it was an outlier. Joe Bastardi at Weatherbell was the only forecaster to say we could have a big snow here.
I watched the last 15-20 minutes of Trump’s speech late last night on CNN. It’s worth seeing how ignorant and foolish Trump supporters are in lapping up a man clownishly full of himself.
After a year, it’s evident there is no “too far”.

Do me a favor: be sure and use that “ignorant and foolish” talk a lot next fall, too. It’ll guarantee a Repub sweep!
