I have not gotten any letters or even a confirmation of receiving a letter or email that I have sent Sen. Perdue. A cease-and-desist out of his office would be progress.
I receive some extremely well written form letters from Sen. Isakson which addresses directly the topic, if not the specific question I asked him. Rep. Carter has sent me the exact same general form letter for three completely different unrelated questions, and a different more cheery form letter for 2 completely unrelated items I voiced support over.
When a bill I really want or dislike is up for a vote or in one of their committees, I ALWAYS contact my elected official. Have been doing it for years.

Looks like somethings are beginning to break thru as the polling has gone from deep underwater to basically even. And that’s before folks even see their new taxes.
Why, one would think that maybe all these “ coincidences” such as Apple’s repatriations are beginning to be noticed.
No coincidences about it. All the candy and happiness happens this year and scales back over time until the person cuts expires in 2024ish. Apple was willing to expat money when the prior corporate tax cuts were prosed but shelved by congress between 2011-2015. By the time all the problems happen the GOP will most likely not be in power and will then blame whoever is when congress is forced to adjust taxes to fund things – like the military and infrastructure. Happened last time to Bush with the Reagan cuts when he was forced to create new taxes…
Only one way the personal tax cuts are not extended. And that is if the democrat party blocks the extension from happening. Ted Cruz already has a bill ready to drop to make them permanent.
Making the other party look like a baddy… coincidence?

My cousin’s middle child was on CHIP 2009-2010. She has cystic fibrosis. Dad was laid off, and lost family insure policy after cobra ran out. Mom’s work provider wouldn’t cover her at the time (it was pre-ACA). Just her medication can run almost $800 a month. With only one income and 3 other children, they really didn’t have a choice.
Trump’s negotiating process is pretty clear by now. You eventually get to a deal, and then he asks for one. more. thing. If he doesn’t get it, he walks. Probably works pretty well in business, but this isn’t business, this is supposed to be governing. He hasn’t figured that out yet.
