St Baldricks To Cure Childhood Cancer: Buzzfan Today, Sully Next Saturday
Lawton was kind enough to post an earlier reminder of this great cause and the great people supporting it.
Today, at The Harp Irish Pub in Roswell, Buzzfan (a/k/a John Vestal) will have his head shaved for the 11th time in order to raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation – an organization dedicated to curing childhood cancers. He and “Team Spider Monkey” are into their second decade of commitment to this cause.
Meanwhile, next Saturday at Meehan’s in Sandy Springs, our old friend Sully (a/k/a Rich Sullivan from Alt 105.7 FM) will also be joining his annual team in helping cure this horrible disease. I’ve lost count how many years he’s been doing this (I think this is his 10th, making it a decade of service), but his commitment remains unwavering.
St. Baldricks spends only 4% of their annual amount raised on overhead – very low for any charitable organization of this size. Most of the money raised goes directly to research or to assist families with children battling the disease.
Cancer has touched virtually all of our lives. It’s even worse when it attacks the young. If you want to do something to help eliminate this horrible disease, click on the links below to make a donation.

Thanks, Charlie!
We had another OUTSTANDING event at The Harp on Saturday (despite the weather!) and I surpassed my goal for the year, giving me over $50K raised since 2008! THANK YOU to my supporters! Next year, My team (Team Spider Monkey) should surpass a cool QUARTER-MILLION raised in that same timeframe!
Sully is still looking to reach his goal! Click here to donate on his head, and…even better…go SEE the shenanigans this Saturday at Meehan’s in Sandy Springs starting at noon!
Appreciate what you do sir.
