    Department heads are authorized First Class. Always have been. And those with credible threats are authorized even more resources. This is a bit of a red herring. No one said boo under Obama. Now with a adversarial, slobbering and hyperventilating press, anything they can go full bore on is covered. Have some cheese on that Nothing Burger.

      After at least 18 advertisers announced withdrawing from advertising on Ingraham’s show, “BREAKING: Laura Ingraham announced on tonight’s show that she would take next week off and be replaced by “a great lineup of guest hosts.”

      But hey, the American Petroleum Institute is still advertising on her show, so she’s got that going for her.

    With all of this ransomware stuff playing out, Amazon has 1TB Seagate external hard drives for 45 bucks. I’m in process of transferring all of my hard drive stuff to one as we speak. So, my laptop and desktop will soon be empty with nothing to get hacked.

      Well, I don’t know of a better way to protect.

      If you use an external back up drive and only plug it in when you back stuff up, I’d say its pretty full proof. I know you are half joking but we need to applaud good behavior, regardless of source. As to $45 , is it refurbished? I’ve found that Amazon isnt always exactly clear on that.
      Good job Norway! I use Timeshift to handle my system backups, but I run Linux exclusively so its a little different. I back up all my personal data in a separate program (Grsync). Linux to me makes more sense as all your personal stuff is completely separate from the system. Makes upgrades and system screw ups much easier to deal with.

      Even accounting for your intelligence level, this makes very little sense to me. How is there “nothing to get hacked” if you’re still running an OS? How is this Ext HD going to be accessed?

      One very basic idea of backing up your data is to restore your files after you wipe the HD clean. This assumes the malware isn’t hiding out of your backup as well.

      Besides, who really cares about your catalog of articles of residents blowing away robbers?

    Oh, and Linux doesnt spy on you like Windows does (especially Windows 10), and best of all is the cost $0.00 (free)
    I could teach anyone to use Linux in about an hour…and you’d never miss Windows

    Just a reminder that with the President’s announcement that the US will soon withdraw from Syria that we are still warring there with ~2,000 sets of boots on the ground along with 5,000 soldiers still in Iraq.
