Hill Campaign Disgusted by Tippins Ad
From Cody Hall, Communications Director for the Hunter Hill campaign:
“This ad is disgusting and Clay Tippins should be ashamed of himself. Benedict Arnold betrayed his countrymen to the British and was a traitor to our nation. Hunter Hill led men in battle on three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan to defend America and our freedoms.
Clay Tippins claims to be an ‘outsider,’ but he campaigns like a slimy politician.”

The political ad of the year.
The race for second place!
Youtube’s next suggested video for me from that ad was Dierks Bentley, “Drunk on a Plane”. Make of that what you will.
I got a Jerry Garcia interview.
Clay tried to harsh my buzz but it didn’t work, man.
between this one and the insurance commissioner as jake from state farm ad, i think i am actually enjoy political commercials a little too much this cycle…
I’ll give Tippins this, he doesnt appear to be as unhinged as Marc Urbach. So yay?
I think Benedict Arnold might be a bit harsh but Tippens is not talking about his service. He’s talking about the fact that Hunter Hill is not a true supporter of the 2nd Amendment. He has a C rating from the NRA and also told people on video that we should raise the purchase age of rifles to 21 before he flips on his position because of the backlash he was getting. That is selling out on one of the founding fundamentals of our constitution and is also being dishonest with votes on how he really feels about gun control. Just sayin’
I’m no Hunter Hill apologist, but which section of the constitution refers to age limits? You’ll have to enlighten me.
clearly it doesn’t state an age. But if also does not state that you should have the right to defend yourself with certain weapons at certain ages and not certain weapons at other ages. If you are old enough to die defening our wonderful country you should be old enough to own a firearm. The bigger issue for me on HH is that he Was for raising the age limit and then changes that position based on responses. That is being disingenuine in my eyes — ans probably many others as well.
I think elected officials have to find their balance between being leaders based upon principles and just representing their electorate. Both are legit, and both can help election.
I think the last time “flip-flopping” had any impact was against John Kerry. The current Pres. is a wizard of non-commitment. Minds change I guess.
I’m disgusted by Hill’s constant pandering about his military service, as if being a trained killer somehow qualifies him for elected office.
If he was so good at it maybe he should have stayed in.
