          Local schools here are doing ISS for any student who walks out for any protest. Does not matter why, who or for what.

            That’s at least a fair policy, but it would be much more interesting and educational if they could also add a few hours every couple of months or so- call it a Civil Participation Day or something- where the students could sponsor and attend protests of their own choosing. There would certainly be some valuable lessons in there, some sprinkled with civic tension perhaps.

    The end of Boy Scouts of America is almost complete. All that is left is the name change to the parent organization. As the father of an Eagle Scout I’ll continue to support the organization regardless of what the name becomes. They are needed now more than ever.

    Pence praised Arpaio’s commitment to “rule of law”- not mentioning the criminal conviction or breaches of the Constitution. Even Arpaio’s pardon shows that many Americans think the rule of law just means the rule of politics and the laws of the ‘ole Wild West.

      The overwhelming majority of Real Common Sense Americans love sheriff Joe!!! Maybe Trump can appoint him to some federal position that doesn’t require The Ninnies in the senate.

        Lord, I see Rain Man is back! All you have in that teeny arsenal to counter basically anything I ever say is the “child molester” or “racist” thing. Is it time for Wapner? LOL! You truly are a sad little man. So, SnowBiscuit, I’ve been on Team Arpaio’s team for over 20 years. Loved it when he brought the chain gangs back, by the way. Pink underwear and bologna sandwiches were also a nice touch. He was the only man it America, it seems, who was enforcing US immigration law, when federal weenies wouldn’t. Real Americans hate criminals. Especially ones who should never have been allowed to enter our country in the first place. Period. Other law enforcement pros should mirror his methods. Their communities would reward them with a lifetime tenure.

Are you too ignorant to see the irony in that? As I’ve already pointed out to you this guy directed his deputies to break the law for years pulling over everyone who fit their racial/ethnic profiles. Even a 10th generation Arizonian who had Hispanic traits was subject to being detained if they weren’t found carrying ze papers. Road blocks and raids only in Latino neighborhoods… Chain gangs? My God man, you are glorifying a Southwestern twist to the early 20th Century Jim Crow South. How can you possibly deny being a racist with such a comment? Instead of continuously subscribing to the tabloid color-by-the-numbers Fox News channel why don’t you take in a PBS show like Slavery By Another Name regarding chain gangs.
