Morning Reads – Thursday, March 24, 2018
On this date in 1913, the Department of Labor entered into its first strike mediation. The dispute was between the Railroad Clerks of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad.

March 24th?
I’ve been fishing in the most beautiful places in Georgia the last couple of days including a cathedral of nature man can’t even approach, but if I try to justify that to you guys they won’t stay that way. So I will just agree with the article Jessica linked. Please go there instead.
Luv that Lib tolerance over that kid’s Trump t-shirt. Just how big will his settlement be?
Love that Con tolerance over kneeling. How will we pray?
(certainly not like the Hypocrites, standing on street corners)
Who else loves watching The Dipshit squirm?? LMAO!
http://dailycaller.com/2018/05/23/mueller-delay-russia-trial/
I know this is as useful as screaming into the wind…but how you can disparage a man that earned a bronze star in Vietnam, served as a Reagan appointed US Attorney, and then as an 11 year FBI director (appointed by W) all because he’s getting “too close” to your draft-dodging (sorry, heel spurs), pornstar raw-dogging, serial liar is beyond the very fabric of comprehension.
You’re an idiot.
Yeah – I’m the idiot! The Dipshit indicts folks he never expected to try and defend themselves. thennnnn — whomp, dey it is —- one of them does!! LMAO!!
Now The Dipshit wants:
“Special Counsel Robert Mueller requested his Russian collusion trial be delayed indefinitely”
“an indefinite delay!!!!!???!!!!!” LMAO!!! This is the next brilliant legal mind!!??
Could he be Billings Learned Hand reincarnated?!?!?!?!!?
I would lay every dollar I have ever earned, and every one I will ever earn, on Mueller knowing a lot more about this than you. So if he is dumb, then…
Don’t they discourage masturbation in the asylum?
Wow! Such coarseness. But since you brought it up, when you and the rest of GaPol’s Weenies get together with your pink hats, which one of you is the pivot man?
Yes by all means lets contrast the two:
… So he headed to law school with the goal of serving his country as a prosecutor. He went on to hold high positions in five presidential administrations. He led the Criminal Division of the Justice Department, overseeing the US investigation of the Lockerbie bombing and the federal prosecution of the Gambino crime family boss John Gotti. He became director of the FBI one week before September 11, 2001, and stayed on to become the bureau’s longest-serving director since J. Edgar Hoover.
And yet, throughout his five-decade career, that year of combat experience with the Marines has loomed large in Mueller’s mind. “I’m most proud the Marines Corps deemed me worthy of leading other Marines”…
vs
Despite having been educated at an elite private military academy, Donald Trump famously drew five draft deferments, including one for bone spurs in his feet. He would later joke, repeatedly, that his success at avoiding sexually transmitted diseases while dating numerous women in the 1980s was “my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.”

President Trump announced a few weeks ago when it was explained to him that he could be seen as obstructing justice if he continued down the path of firing FBI Directors and the like. So he announced possibly on Fox and Friends? that he was going for character assassination instead. It only goes to Noway’s gullibility that he parrots this BS.
This makes me happy…. my favorite is still right out of the shell.

Did Lea win her lunch bet?
I did not. I had Monday as the date. Womp Womp.
Meanwhile in Trump Admin/Russia news…

Did Stacey Abrams win fair and square, or sound and round?
Good Lord did a 4th grader write that letter to N.K.? Any normal person would be embarrassed. I guess he’s finally got his staff on board with the “do NOT change ANYTHING I dictate” policy.
It is scary and painful (and a little bit fascinating) to watch someone so publicly submit to their derangement. It’s like every little rich kids fantasy. It’s cowboys and Indians, and little green army men, and William Randolph Hearst, and Henry Ford, and George Patton, all rolled into one.
Ever since the news broke that the big meet was off I’ve had this vision of a remake of Grease with Olivia Donald-John singing ‘You’re the Un that I want’ to a butched-out Kim. Someone help me.
There are a bunch of historic pictures from the GSU archive at chamblee54 today. The occasion is a celebration of Bob Dylan’s Birthday.
In 2016, on David Bowie’s birthday, I reposted every thing I had ever written about him. Three days later, he died.
On May 24, 2016, I did the same thing for Bob Dylan’s birthday. He won the Nobel prize.

With great power comes great responsibility Chamblee. That being said, never write about me! lol

Noway is a troll who I doubt anybody takes seriously. This forum would be much better off with out that complete waste of human life.
The best part of him ended up on a mattress somewhere.
I’m a little worried about you, Sigmoid. You have an unnatural fascination with my death. Why so grumpy? I’ll bet you just need a new Splatter Shield. You want me to set up a Go Fund Me page to help you with that?
And speaking of wasting human life, Snivler’s $700 bucks of blood money to PP has paid for about two and half abortions of minority children. Accessory to Murder much, Mewler??
I don’t think him a complete waste of a human life.
And here he performs a valuable service highlighting the philosophy the GOP base. Most importantly the dependence and complicity of establishment GOP pols in that philosphy.
Well, lookie here!!! GGWAG!!!

Sure, we won’t look at McConnell approving of Mueller’s investigation or Nunes silence.
What’s a few dead kids compared to our Constitutional rights?
Am I right, Noway?
You’re talking about abortion, right?
Sure, we can back and forth all day.
Abortion rates rise when you cut access to birth control.
Your move.
You both are talking about accidents. Let’s ban pools! They “kill” kids, too! And don’t forget cars!! They’re next on the “ban” list!
And Sniv, I’ll highlight this: “black kid with a bag of Skittles.” How ’bout you let that black baby be born? How’s that for the need for introspection, huh?
And how ’bout this: “Easy access to firearms has contributed significantly…” to allowing Real Americans the ability to defend themselves and others!” “Nuff said. You and your Ninnie Buddies should really just be quiet. As usual, y’all offer absolutely nothing of value.
Interesting:
“Oklahoma City police Friday morning identified the two armed citizens who shot and killed the shooter as 35-year-old Juan Carlos Nazario and 39-year-old Bryan Wittle.”
Fortunate that that didn’t get out of hand.
Forgot the link:

B, my Lib friend, you’re referring to things getting out of hand in the sense that the maggot might have injured more innocent people?
Well, there is that, but also the danger that if more people carry and feel compelled to intervene, it is easy to imagine scenarios where multiple people whip out weapons and start shooting. In cases where it is not as easy to identify “the bad guy(s)” as it apparently was in this case, that could make things worse. Like if it was in a mall for example. Or even a school.
I don’t really want to be too hard on that school resource officer who didn’t enter the school because he didn’t know how many were in there, or where they were. Even the SWAT team doesn’t just bust in without protection and/or intelligence.
I’m just sayin’; this is probably a good result (as far as we know right now), but that doesn’t mean it is the solution for most other cases.
Nazario was a security guard, so he likely had some training. Haven’t seen anything about the other guy yet. But in Oklahoma you do have to have a permit to carry which requires training and a background check. So that is some sensible regulation that goes a long way to ensuring that those who carry aren’t freaks.
Let’s see: “if”, “could”, “probably”. Hmmmmm…you could speculate all day on posssssssible scenarios. You’re probably swearing out loud at the correct outcome in this case. Too bad. Swiss cheese, anyone?
Well only a dumbass would jump to definite conclusions before we have more info on this.
But I do think it is likely a good example of results we can expect with reasonable regulation, at least regarding the Puerto Rican guy. Not sure what the other guys’ story is yet.
OK so yeah, just some more information on this.
The one guy was a security guard and an ex-cop. The other guy was ex-military and National Guard. So if you are going to have a “good guy with a gun”, these are the guys you want, not necessarily the moron who wants to wear his AK-47 slung across his back while shopping at Wal Mart or dining at Cracker Barrel, or the guy who keeps a gun in his glove compartment because he’s boinking someone else’s wife and feels a little paranoid but has only ever shot it twice and the last time was seven years ago.
Furthermore, apparently these guys did not come across each other while looking for the bad guy, which one of them admits would have been probably confusing. And the one guy reportedly didn’t even see the original shooting, just heard it. So he was relying on other witnesses to point him to the perp.
Then there is the NRA and the governor. There was recently a bill there -which the Gov vetoed- that would have allowed citizens to carry without a permit. The NRA thinks that bill would have made things better. The Gov (Republican) disagreed.
Hadn’t seen such an exhaustive list of the supposed molesters in one place. Et tu, Sulu?! Damn, hadn’t heard that one!
