Last weekend’s G-7 meeting didn’t go exactly as planned. President Trump left our allies dismayed and, well, pissed.

Jamie Dupree is one of the best in political reporting. I hate that this condition has afflicted him. But I am glad he is still fighting and finding ways to work through it.
Trump is out of control. Congress needs to step up and pass a resolution or three condemning his behavior so that the world knows he does not speak for this country but only for himself.
They also need to challenge him on the so-called ‘national security’ reasoning for these tariffs. It’s B.S. If he wants to retaliate for other tariffs then just go through the process and let congress vote on it. This isn’t a damn banana republic. Yet.
In any other context you would think he is trying to get fired. Republican leaders are so spineless they won’t even assert their duty to approve tariffs and treaties. Which is suspicious in itself.

1977 or 78 I acquired front row loge tickets for Springsteen at the Fox. My girlfriend’s only response was “Who?”. The crowd was maybe 2/3 capacity. The girlfriend is now my wife and I doubt she will let me spring for Broadway tix no matter how much she loved the show back then.
I was at that show! Both nights! In fact, I have a tape of one of them. They broadcast the second night on the radio and my roommate taped it for me. THE best version of Prove it All Night ever.

I was a Stacey Evans supporter, in part because I held, comments on GaPol seemingly to the contrary, that her approach to seek to appeal to opponents was the best approach for the country. Despite my wanting it to be otherwise, I’ve accepted that compromising principles for the possibility of a few percent more GOP or GOP-leaning votes isn’t worth it. Scott Pruitt ethics are what is to be dealt with. Treat the GOP based on what it is, and not what it was.

Putin obviously has kompromat on Trump based on his behavior at the G7. Now we have the NRA taking money from the Russians. We already knew they went to Russia and met with Putin.
