Some of the dossier has been verified by either the FBI or Mueller or the intelligence community. Clapper just said the other day that he thought the majority of the dossier had been verified. The FBI did not pay for it. Fusion GPS is te one that was doing the dossier and it was started by the Washington Free Beacon an conservative media entity. Hillary later hired Fusion GPS and then continued the dossier. Nunes himself is probably in trouble hence his erratic behavior and Trump apologia. You have to remember Nunes was on the transition team which was rife with people talking to the Russians. I’m going to pull out my National Genealogical Society creds for this one. Brief explainer, there are four base DNA definers for heredity. For simplicity, we will refer to them as European, African, Eurasian and Asian. Every DNA can be traced to one or more of these bases. Note there is not DNA base for North or South America. Migration of Asian and European DNA are the foundations of any Western Hemisphere civilizations.
Defining if a person is of Native American decent is dependent on how removed is a sample and the number these samples with matching points in a Native American’s tribe. Example, many Great Lake tribes have a European base DNA and have relatively small samples (less then 100) with the families having become scattered over the last 300 years. To define the DNA as being from a specific tribe, you would need additional proof that the matching DNA samples all have roots in that tribe. The more samples you have and the documentation to back it up, the more precise the DNA conclusion. It is not unusual to have highly documented tribes on the north eastern sea board that have samples with more in common with Norwegian DNA. To say you just do a DNA test is silly if you don’t have the data reviewed in context to back it up.

My guess is no. In the case of most people (including you and me), your understanding of who you are and what your heritage is based on what your parents or other relatives told you. Example, my grandmother was told she lost her part of her grandparents family farm when it was sold after her grandmother’s death because her mother had died when she was 9 and the remaining living siblings spilt it up between themselves. This has been the known truth in my family. Until last December when I found the probate record of my Great Great Grandmother’s will from 1922, 95 years after her death. The farm was sold at auction (and bought be her own sons) and her whole estate given to the Motherhouse of the convent her 3 sisters dead serving. My great uncle spent his whole life believing that if only he had access to his mothers share of the fam he could have gone to college and resented his own uncles till the day he dead.

Do you have the proof or access to it? Even if one has a record do we even believe it in this day in age? My mother tells me she gave birth to me, but I don’t have a copy of my original birth certificate. My parent’s copy burned in a house fire, the courthouse record room was flooded when I was 4. I have a certified record of Birth by the state of Wisconsin.
