Trump unsure why Cohen would tape the convo. But it seems clear to me.
Cohen knew they were doing wrong, and he made the tape just in case he ever needed to bail himself out of the trouble he participated in, as in the present circumstances.
And I would add- when you press the “record” button, you don’t necessarily know in advance that you would need that recording someday, but the fact that you keep it probably means that you recognized the possibility.
They might but not in the “crazy primary.” I contend that the only way Abrams can win is to keep Kemp in the crazy corner in which he ran. The majority of Georgia voters want the type of Governor that Deal turned out to be and not Jason Spencer for Governor.
I’m seeing a repeat of the Ed Gillespie senate race in VA here. Ed ran in half the state as the candidate of confederate monuments and the other half he attempted to sell himself as a moderate Republican but apparently the only people it worked with were the confederate monument voters. If there are enough confederate monument voters here in GA then the win goes to Kemp. Being the candidate of the confederacy never hurt Sonny Perdue.
Abrams best hope is there are enough disgusted Republicans who sit this one out.
Of course, you can’t debate what I actually said. You are the pigeon that just pooped on the chessboard.

Be careful about anything being the only way. Who could have foreseen the circumstances and even more, the margin of victory, that made Kemp the nominee. (Cagle tape and well-timed Trump endorsement—arguably the tape wearing away as fodder and Deal endorsement had halted the Cagle slide. ahead of the Trump endorsement).
So, at this point we should be permitted to accept that dtm cannot support the premise. Therefore, one would like to think that they would re-evaluate their position on this, and maybe a few other things as well. But we also should accept that this is not likely to happen. We can presume this because the overwhelming evidence is that logic and reason are not the driving criteria for perpetrating such a flawed paradigm.
.
But we already knew that.
It’s just another indication that we seem to be traveling down a dangerous and unpredictable path.
.
Carry on.
Passantino having been Newt Gingrich’s attorney says something about Passantino’s ethics. From your link:
.
“Ex-White House ethics chief Walter Shaub, who briefly served under Trump before resigning, said that Passantino was “openly hostile” to the government ethics program. The two clashed during Shaub’s brief tenure in the Trump White House.
.
“I’m glad to hear he’s leaving,” Shaub said. “He is a nice guy – charming even, and easy to like on a personal level. I’d want him as a neighbor, but not as an ethics official.”
.
“On a professional level, he has been openly hostile to the government ethics program, like nothing we’d ever seen,” Shaub added. “He’s done more harm than good in his brief stint in the White House. His detrimental influence on the government ethics program under the Trump administration was a factor in my decision to resign.”
I saw this quote and it made me think of your efforts here:
Arguing with a Trump supporter is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are the pigeon craps on the board and struts around like it won anyway.

Meanwhile in DC…

I wonder if these Trump tapes where Trump basically sounds like a mafia don will have any effect on the races in GA.

I wonder if she can pick up some votes by advocating for a strong guest worker visa program, in contrast to Kemp’s non-ag-friendly policy.

To quote Steve Perry, “Don’t Stop Believin'”. Lol!

I hope favorable election results will begin to reign things in.
Being an ethics officer in the White House apparently wore down even an experienced Georgian:
