RGA Releases TV Ad Declaring “Every Day is Christmas for Stacey Abrams”
The Republican Governors Association has released a new TV ad targeting former House Minority Leader and Democrat candidate for Governor Stacey Abrams. The subject matter surrounds the issue of a $50,000 loan to her gubernatorial campaign and her failure to pay her $54,000 debt to the IRS.
RGA, in a press release, called the move ‘reckless,’ and RGA Communications Director Jon Thompson said, “Despite making over $1 million as a tax attorney, Stacey Abrams failed to pay her own taxes. Instead of paying her fair share, Abrams loaned herself $50,000 to support her own campaign. Georgia deserves a leader committed to fiscal responsibility, not a reckless politician who puts their own political ambitions ahead of paying their fair share.”

Stacey Abrams is a tax attorney.
She made a million dollars over the past five years.
But she didn’t even pay her own $54,000 tax bill.
Instead, she loaned herself $50,000 to run for governor.
Nice present.
Guess every day is Christmas for Stacey Abrams.
Blind Ambition, poor judgement, fiscally irresponsible.
Merry Christmas, Stacey.

She’s a tax attorney, she hauled in $200K/year for 5 years and she couldn’t pay her taxes? Lord have mercy.
This is rich coming from people who coalesced around six-time bankruptcy filer Donald Trump.
I mean, she at least disclosed her tax returns for this, right?
Still waiting for Trump’s.
I guess it could have also been on her personal financial disclosures.
There’s the history of the man currently in the office to consider too. A large part of Deal’s fortune was came from a decade long insider no-bid contract. He was forced to leave Congress when he was caught using federal office resources to improperly seek to intimidate a state official to keep the spigot open when he had bad investments to deal with. It worked out though, in part due to his daughter and one or more businesses of his being paid with Gubernatorial campaign contributions.
Deal’s financials were an absolute disaster when he resigned from Congress (to avoid the Charlie Rengel treatment that was clearly coming) to run for Governor. Don’t forget the aviation company nonsense and the big sporting goods store bankruptcy… And yet, he ended up being a very popular two-term governor.
I think Josh McKoon is wise for questioning this angle of attack. https://politics.myajc.com/news/state–regional-govt–politics/capitol-recap-stop-talking-about-abrams-finances-one-gop-leader-says/WpAwqi8NSaUsTz2JDRkhSK/
This has come up before of course. It’s obviously not the best look for her, but here is what she has said:
.
“Abrams, 44, has said that mounting credit card debt when she was a student at Spelman College hurt her credit score and that she struggled to help her elderly parents in Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast in 2005.
.
Even though she earned a healthy salary as a lawyer, she wrote, she “rearranged my financial life and stretched every penny I had” to respond to the crisis.
.
“While delaying tax payments wasn’t my smartest move, it allowed me to take care of the parents who’d sacrificed so much for me and my siblings,” she wrote. “I remain committed to their financial stability to this day, and I continue to work hard to meet all of my obligations.”
.
Speaking of loans, if it’s going to be a test of competency, Kemp might need borrow some.
Especially the 165 folks in Santa Claus, GA.
Still hot out west.
Largest fire in California state history. 290,692 acres as of this morning.
“The fire has burned for 11 days and containment lines still were at 20 percent in the Ranch fire, which spreads across more than 375 square miles.”

Not paying taxes?
That makes her smart!
“Despite making over $1 million as a real estate developer, Trump failed to pay his own taxes. Instead of paying his fair share, Trump loaned himself $50,000 to support his own campaign. the United States deserves a leader committed to fiscal responsibility, not a reckless politician who puts their own political ambitions ahead of paying their fair share.”
This here is a great idea. I recommend liberals not to pay any taxes and tell the IRS its because Trump did it! I am always one to strive for fair and balanced. Get back to all of us how well that that goes for you!
Already more than half of the folks don’t pay any Federal income tax and we always hear that republicans don’t pay their fair share– so I propose liberals pay no taxes at all and continue demanding free stuff at every turn!
You know I am coming around to this be a liberal kind of thinkin’!
You’re not doing it right.
I’m sure you’d enjoy the lifestyle of the income of someone with no federal tax liability.
Let us know how that works out for you.
That’s great.
Now come around to looking into euthanasia.
Seriously? LOL!
At least that was a little nicer than you twice calling for my outright death. Mellowing with age, Doc? C’mon Doc, you still really want me to assume room temperature?
This ad is hilarious! Over the top- then they had the audacity to call her a “HO” at the end. It’s just wrong on so many levels!
