Monday Morning Reads — August 13
Happy Monday, everyone!
Approximately 15 white supremacists held a “Unite the Right” anniversary demonstration in Washington DC, while hundreds of counter protesters lined the streets. Needless to say, the whole situation was somewhat bizarre.
A stolen plane, a grieving family, and major questions about airplane security. Bonus: Watch a commercial plane fly in loops.
Could Georgia have paper ballots by November?
Does your back hurt because your posture sucks? Mine does. Read this article.
“We’re not going to allow guns for anyone, anywhere, anytime” – How one tweet could end any hope of an Abrams victory.

Doonesbury showed some of its old bite yesterday.

Kemp says he can’t switch to paper by November. I would speculate he doesn’t want to do it since VA was able to do it. After all the problems that have been shown with our voting machines and the Russians getting into our files isn’t it important that voters have the belief that they actually elected the candidate?
States are selling a bait and switch approach to paper ballots. New machines, printing paper ballot backups with a BARCODE that only gets read in recounts. It doesn’t take Russians to pre hack that, any good ole boy in gubmint could. Are we really so stupid to accept a software generated, illegible barcode as proof of our true vote?
So far at least it seems Kemp’s office has been unrolling people from the voting rolls. We haven’t seen vote changing but that also doesn’t mean we won’t find out votes were changed.
Trump’s unemployment stats just went up – by one!

Yeah, he embarrassed Trump at the hearing so he had to be gotten rid of. This is how the mafia operates. Could be yet another obstruction of justice charge against Trump.
“Aitan Goelman, Strzok’s lawyer, told the paper that FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich ordered that Strzok be canned on Friday — even though the head of the FBI office that usually metes out discipline had ruled Strzok should face only a demotion and 60-day suspension.
Goelman said the move undercuts the FBI’s assurances that Strzok would go through the normal disciplinary process.
“This isn’t the normal process in any way more than name,” Goelman said.

Donald Trump has the emotional maturity of a 6 year old.
Stroke was fired because he was biased and not impartial in the performance of his official duties. Common sense finally prevailed in this case.
No, he was fired because we have a thin skinned president who values loyalty over anything else much like the mafia. Armani dog quoted the process anybody else would have gone through but Trump like a Mafia Don wanted to “send a message” to anybody else in the FBI who is thinking about testifying against him.
Just talked with FBI buddy. SES rank. He says Stroke’s firing is universally hailed by the rank and file. They considered him to be a “literal stain” on the Bureau. One more thing: since he was fired, it taints ALL of his prior work. All of it. Didn’t he work on the Hillary email case? Hmmmmmm…
Somehow you always seem to have a buddy who says something that you want him to say.
Carolina!!! I would pat the top of your head if you were here! Please, please, please don’t ever go anywhere!!!
Strzok is most noted publically for his work on Operation Ghost Stories, and as the counter terror intel lead on the Boston Bomber tracking (the case also involved McCabe). I bet Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s lawyer is ready to get his clients case overturned because as you said – tainted. More importantly Putin can sleep better tonight knowing the biggest threat to the GRU sleeper cells that Strzok was still hunting, he can no longer catch.
Abrams places her bet for Governor at Mississippi Casino Friday. https://www.ledger-enquirer.com/news/politics-government/election/article216455500.html
because not everyone who has the right to bear arms deserves the arms they want to bear ….
That’s so sick. The unrepentant Confederates and real white supremacists wrote Georgia’s gun laws because the US and Georgia Supreme Court declared that the freed slaves were citizens and had rights.
150 years later a black female is pushing the same concept and with almost the same language.

Nevada is fighting a drug manufacturer in court. The state wants to use drugs to execute a man. The state of Georgia in participating in the lawsuit. How much money is being spent on this legal adventure? This is your tax dollars at work.
“By the way, if you’re rooting out folks who “don’t give a damn about anything else going on around you, and aren’t actually having a discussion,” I’ve got a few commenters you should meet.” Oh, Lord! My side is hurting!
Liberal Lemmings at work! Sad! Sessions can’t even have a Chalupa in peace!

Do you even read the articles you post? He was able to eat it in peace. The pushback came from a picture posted on Facebook by the restaurant and the owner of said restaurant then apologized and took down the pictures. This is strictly about Sessions’ support for tearing families apart.
No, he doesn’t. He really is that stupid.
But he knows some high-rankers in the FBI! .
I wouldn’t mention “stupid” if I were you doc. For a doc I have actually expected more from your comebacks. Your Crown Jewel of late has been to complain about Popeye’s not giving you extra hot sauce.
So…which one of the disgraced, biased and fired FBI officials gets indicated first?
None of them. Manafort is going to be the first one going to prison and it’s rumored that the next indictment coming down the pike is going to be Roger Stone.
Any bets on the next pardon?
Hmmmmm…if convicted, Manafort. Immediately after verdict and before sentencing.
Depends on how many more seats the GOP is willing to lose in November.
I find it comical that lead inestigator that got Hillary off the hook and then turned around and tried to frame Trump three days later screaming impeachment is fired and is a disgraced piece of —it And yet you blithering biased nitwits still claim this is a fair investigation. You guys should be embarrassed. I know you are but you will never admit it. This is just horse sh—t!
Can you imagine an FBI and Justice Department trying to destroy an opposing presidmetiam candidate? This is worse than Watergate ever dreamed of being.
