“Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.”
from Dept of Labor.
Meanwhile, in this “greatest, the best!” economic boom:
“The average hourly wage paid to a key group of American workers has fallen from last year when accounting for inflation, as an economy that appears strong by several measures continues to fail to create bigger paychecks, the federal government said Tuesday.
For workers in “production and nonsupervisory” positions, the value of the average paycheck has declined in the past year. For those workers, average “real wages” — a measure of pay that takes inflation into account — fell from $22.62 in May 2017 to $22.59 in May 2018, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said.
This pool of workers includes those in manufacturing and construction jobs, as well as all “nonsupervisory” workers in service industries such health care or fast food. The group accounts for about four-fifths of the privately employed workers in America, according to BLS.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2018/06/15/for-the-biggest-group-of-american-workers-wages-arent-just-flat-theyre-falling/?utm_term=.6d84162718dc
I don’t know. Anecdotally wages at the bottom are rising. What I’m really seeing in this “economic boom” is a whole lot of overtime for already overworked workers. Sixty hours a week should not be the new norm.
Now we are complaining about overworked workers? Isnt that rich?
Isnt overtime optional? How many millions of workers became part time workers because of OBMACARE? Remember Nancy Pelosi bragging about all of the spare time folks now had? I kid you not.
Why did they have their hours cut from 40 to less than 30? Was that going to help anyone get ahead?
Salaried employees are treated differently under law than hourly employees, and “overtime” is a concept that doesn’t apply equally to both groups.
Mentioning this because you can’t have a real discussion without the same basis of understanding.
More importantly, there are special considerations in discussing adult matters with a child.
Also the number of hourly people who are allowed under law to be paided overtime are limited based on over all pay and type of job. In my office basically the only people who have mandated overtime are the receptionist, administrative assistants and part-time college level interns. Basically if you have a ‘professional’ labeled job type, you don’t qualify for overtime.
I’m salary, If I work 30 hours (cut off to maintain insurance) or 72 hour a week, I get paid the same thing.
“How many millions of workers became part time workers because of OBAMACARE.”
.
There’s two things wrong with this.
First, there is no evidence that it happened.
Second, even if it did, it would be the fault of greedy corporations, not Obamacare. It’ not like Obamacare said they HAD to do that.
.
“In April 2010, the first full month under the Affordable Care Act, there were almost 9.2 million part-time workers, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. BLS defines part-time as working 34 hours or less.
.
Through May 2016, there are actually far fewer part-time workers, not more. According to BLS, there were 6.4 million part-time workers in May — an almost 30 percent drop compared to April 2010. ”

Fortune 500 CEO compensation is up double digits. The $1.5 tax cut for the rich is trickling down as a golden shower. MAGA!
.
Why should employers even have to pay overtime for more than 40 hours? Those folks working should be thankful for the job.
.
How is this possible if the libs were in charge for the prior 8 years? Maybe its because they didn’t do a darn thing about it to help the average worker. Looks like things are vastly improving. Why the highest optimism rates in decades? Why the higher consumer spending?
Why the long face Mr. Ed?
Obama actually tried to adjust the overtime rules, conservative congress said no… don’t feel like it, their corporate funded PAC overlords don’t want to pay folks more or raise their SSI and workers comp payments to the state and feds . Obama issued out an executive order to raise the income level cut off for overtime by almost $12,000. Trump and the courts gutted it in the fall of 2017 before it was scheduled to go into affect.
Libs in charge for the prior 8 years? Your really ought to check with Noway about numbers and counting. Bear in mind twenty is his limit, and that only if shoes and socks are off.
It’s Labor Day. That’s a cue for Trump to attack union leadership https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-attacks-union-leader-on-labor-day/ar-BBMOAJC?ocid=spartanntp
.
That doesn’t bother “right to work” types. They earned the paid holiday. Unlike the moochers.
South Florida’s Burmese pythons have interbred with their Indian cousins, and their offspring can thrive on high, dry ground as well as swamps. The last I looked, Georgia is both higher and drier than Florida.
Hybrid super-snakes in South Florida?
DeSantis: I’m not racist, but I won’t apologize for my (apparent racial) ignorance or offense I may have caused, even if unintentional.
White Supremacist group Road to Power: Sweet. The door’s open, boys.
DeSantis: Those robocalls were disgusting, but I sure won’t ever take responsibility for opening the door for them. In fact, I will never apologize for any such consequences, intentional or unintentional.
Predicted response from Road to Power: Sweet. Robocalls, Round 2, slated for early October.
Predicted response from the right-wingnuts: It’s clear that Road to Power is a black ops organization funded by Georg Soros and other shadowy Dems.
Hey, anybody else getting tired of this? I know I am.
But all y’all who complain abt those of us who raise complaints about racism, go ahead and keep blaming us for complaining about it. It sure must be annoying when we complain about it.
I know complaining about our complaints is sure to be more useful than just saying it sucks, but maybe there’s something we can do about it.
Who would put it past some of these folks if they planted the racists robocalls and blamed it on someone else? Isnt that the entire agenda these days?
Hmmm, has anyone seen Mueller, Strzok, Page, Ohr and Fusion recently so they can plant some more evidence?
No one supports that hatred. How many Klansmen showed up in Charlottesville the other day? 20. How many CNN reporters were there ginning up a story? More than that.
Can anyone name a policy from this administration that is racist? So maybe folks can give it a rest?!
They can’t. It does not exist.
The fewer Klansman showing in Charlottesville wasn’t because their numbers or virilism are less, but because of complaints. The story is that it’s moving underground. It’s got too, because of Agent Orange’s defoliation.
Underground or maybe the numbers are FAR FEWER.
Okay try this. More proof. Not hype. Most of us have kids right? Do your kids seem to mind playing or being with any minorities whatsoever? Don’t they date members of other ethnic groups with no thought or care about it?
I know that is what I have seen. with my kids… So isn’t that far better? Or do we have to listen to the lying race hustlers?
How many kids do you see these days that are racist?!
Come on folks. Lets hear it! Put up or SHUT UP PLEASE!
Dylann Roof.
Dave did your Klansman buddies tell you that? Pretty weak reply don’t you think? Why wouldn’t the hateful fools that no one supports want to use the publicity to show how impressive their numbers are? Maybe attract more fruit loops? Isnt that how it works?
I don’t think your reply makes much sense. Sorry.
Weren’t you paying attention to the cult leader? There were “fine people” on the side of the KKK at Charlottesville.
There is evidence the robocall originated with Scott Rhodes of Road To Power, a racist leader of a racist group. (‘ll save you the effort Noway, duos, tres). https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2018/09/01/an-appalling-robocall-racism-invades-floridas-governors-race-second-time-this-week/?utm_term=.9a8a67250da6

It’s the end of the Labor Day weekend. Head down to Kroger, downthemiddle. I hear Kroger overstocked tin foil and is having a clearance sale.
Hell I was going too! There wont be any left after you get there! Dang!
Your “I’m rubber and you’re glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you” was an original and the snappy rebuttal.
.
Point taken. For a child on an elementary school playground.
Uh Dave, who started this? Want to play on the see saw?
Race, Race, Race!!! I’d say I was gonna make that your nickname but I wouldn’t want to sully the Jonny Quest character of “Race” Bannon by linking him to Snowflake like you.
I know. Surely you remember Speed Racer, right?! I’m gonna alter the words just a tiny bit.
How does this sound? “Go, Race Ranger… Go, Race Ranger… Go , Race Ranger, Goooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Whomp, Dey it is!!! Whomp, Dey it is!!!!
It’s like you two jokers are taking a grave issue- even if the size of the problem is in dispute- and rolling gleefully in the mud about it.
HaHa- you guys have to complain about racism again! You guys are such wimps that you can’t even tolerate neo-Nazi robocalls! Where’s your lib tolerance- shouldn’t you just shut up and take it? HaHa.
Needless to say, like it or not, that is the reflection you create.
My guess is you like it.
Because you have yet to denounce the actual substance of the issue raise, in this case the robocalls. Actually, DTM, you did say no one supports it. Although that is not quite a denunciation either. But are you also (speaking for) Noway?
Race Reference 6??
Hey, Noway, you are a racist-enabler.
A sphincter says Race Reference or Racial Reference?
Race Reference 7? Awww Nawwww!
If you say so, Sphincter.
But seriously, I can only allow myself to be part of such playground humor for just this moment.
I ,unlike you, will move on.
Note that downthemiddle’s first response was to suggest that the robocall was a liberal plot.
.
That was followed by whatbout Mueller. How astute!
.
Then whatabout the second Charlottesville rally. Veritable proof that Trump supporters’ racism is waning.
.
The closing remark on Trump policy was a real piece de resistance, because it directly addressed the topic of DeSantis and the robocall.
You represent your President, fellow Trump supporters, and the GOP party well.
Racist policy: Separting families at the border. And don’t use the “crime” excuse because it’s a misdemeanor and so is speeding. Racist policy: attempting to strip Hispanics of their legal citizenship. Basically what Trump has been doing is ethnic cleansing and the GOP is just fine with it it seems.
Uh Caroline.
The separation of families started with that racist Obama! (I don’t think he is a racist but he sure played the race card to gin up hatred and votes as often as possible) (is having Sharpton visiting 150 times in the Oval Office proof enough of that!)
No one is keep legal immigration from occuring. Have you noticed there is no family separation at all with legal immigration? Why is that? Could it be because its legal!?
You guys are the ones wanting open borders and encouraging sanctuary cities that sets up the illegal families to be separated aren’t you? So as usual the liberals are the root problem for the separation in the first place…
Oops. Again. Now its ETHNIC CLEANSING? Are you SURE want to go there? Do you know how stupid, over the top and untrue that is going to sound?
You can take it back if you want. You guys are swinging and missing a lot today.
Why don’t one of you wizards name a single policy that is racist…so far the null set.
And who is saying to judge folks on their character not the color? Me.
No, the family separation did not start with Obama. You guys think if you keep repeating lies over and over you’re going to turn them into the truth. The family separation policy was announced by Jeff Sessions. It was never done before. The rest of your post is just Gish Galloping nonsense.
Racist Reference 12, 13 and 14!! This hasssss to be a record, even for you Race Rangers!!
If you throw a brick and someone squeals you know you hit your target.
Carolina, don’t copy Drew! Think of something besides his thoughts and words. But in your case it’s usually “monkey see, monkey do!” I get it!!!
Racial Reference 1
Thanks, Balance!
I’ll keep mentioning as long as they keep happening.
Your count will thus be an unscientific rendering of actual events.
You know what? Desantis could denounce the robocalls for what they are but apparently he’s trying to keep those white nationalists on board.
He did. What moron approves of racist calls? No one. But that doesn’t stop dullards from prattling on about it does it?
No, he did not denounce them. He had a campaign spokesperson say something. Heck, even Rick Scott could denounce them but Desantis likes this kind of thing. This is the way Trumpers are.
Ohhh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhh ….Race Reference 15!!!!! Go, Carolina, go!!!
Yes, I know shining sunlight on what the GOP does is not something you apparently care for. So you’re trying to shut down the conversation with these nonsense posts. You know you can’t solve a problem if you don’t have the courage to talk about it. You apparently lack such courage.
Lololol! More, Carolina, more!!!!!
Great read on worker in Chicago

The moment was in The Screven Memorial Cemetery in Sylvania, not Savannah.

Also getting tired of failures to implement the law, even in the face of a known ongoing attack:
http://thehill.com/policy/cybersecurity/404815-state-department-unit-created-to-fight-foreign-election-interference
Congress appropriates 120M- nothing allocated. DoD promises 40M- nothing allocated.
Allocation is a function of the White House/Executive branch, btw.
Tired of hearing “Nothing to see here. Believe me”
This story is just like the memo entitled “bin Laden determined to strike America” or whatever it was. Because we know the attack is ongoing and more is imminent. What do you call it when the Commander in Chief actively prevents a defensive strategy and response to a known attack?
Not just ignores, but actively prevent a defense. At the least, that’s Dereliction of Duty.
That sound better than treason?
I know I’m tired of it.
Imo, this story implicated one of the major potential charges of some High Crime that can be raised in the future,
Also tired of hearing “You Libs need to tell me one thing that Mueller has on Trump for collusion”.
Dur. It’s a secret investigation.
It means you need to wait. For some, I guess old age increases patience, for some, not so much.
But you can’t prejudge what you don’t know.
No prejudging!!?? What a belly laugh that is!
Really? The left does this on a daily basis and it is the foundation of the party and the election strategy!
Why would anyone want to impeach Clarence Thomas? Why is any black conservative an Uncle Tom or sellout? Why are conservative women ripped a new one all the time? Why is there anything as stupid as “white guilt”!? All white folks should feel guilty about that! Really?
Why is everyone that disagrees with a liberal branded a racist, supposedly hates gays and women? It is bizarre and untrue isn’t it? But we still hear the nonsense and lip flapping! All day long on THIS blog today…
What the hell is identity politics since it is nothing more than PREJUDGING!?
This is too easy! Balance, you might try another angle. Strike 3!
Hey, you’re welcome to say you predict it will all be shown to be a politically-biased partisan investigation. The thing is, even if you’re right, the investigation has still unveiled the necessary truth about a foreign attack on domestic security interests, and made examples of corrupt foreign-bought political operatives and tax fraudsters. So you will essentially be crying foul on the rule of law. But if you’re wrong, then this country just got successfully attacked and trampled on by a foreign country. So, your choice.
Plus, if you wind up being wrong, it may turn out that Comey, McCabe, Ohr, Strozk- that given that what they knew, that they were being heroes.
And you’ll have spit all over the true defenders of the country.
But because you won’t be able to comprehend the ramifications of being wrong, you’ll just make up some story about George Soros and the Deep State.
Oh I am right and you folks know it was and IS a partisan investigation. No one can deny that. What all the crooks fired?
And why was the Obama administration so pitiful at stopping any of the hacking? Oh and why did Obama say that no one with a brain or a set of coconuts could say Russians had any impact on our elections? Not that is rich isnt it?! …that being 3 weeks before the election? Telling Trump to quit sniveling!! Oh how funny! No Sh-T!
So why have we had 2 years of sniveling from the left? Obama was right about something. And Hillary writes a book sniveling about what happened. We know what happened.
Or fade into the woodwork. You’ll see that and excuses aplenty if Trump is revealed as corrupt.
I LOVE IT DAVE!!! YOU JUST ADMITTED IT!!
TRUMP HAS NOT BEEN REVEALED TO BE CORRUPT AND THIS BS FRAME JOB HAS BEEN GOING ON for 2 YEARS! THANK YOU JESUS! LIBS, HERE IS ONE OF YOUR BEST SUPPORTERS TELLING YOU WHAT I HAVE BEEN TELLING YOU!
Trump aint done a GD thing. I am glad to use the word “yet”! If he did something, bust his arse.
If not, admit the lie and be done with it. Shut up. Leave us alone. Go crawl in a hole. Do something. Quit lying because DAVE HERE says he aint been revealed as corrupt at all!!!
WORD!
I have nothing more to say…until the next warm cup of coffee so I can read about more liberal gibberish and nonsense —hopefully like an expanded attack that conservatives love ethnic cleansing or something!!
It’s like you didn’t read Dave’s post, but then just stated your same old hack phrases.
I would keep on the lookout for others signs of senility.
To be clear, downthemiddle
.
I concede it remains to be seen if Trump’s treason will be proven in the legal sense. I need only the facts already in evidence with respect to Trump’s response to the Russian attack on US democracy to label him a traitor:
.
Aids the attack by undermining trust in the American election system with wholly unsubstantiated allegations of systemic voter fraud.
.
Denies the Russians took action beneficial to him with respect to election, denying there even was a Russian attack.
.
He has refused to take action or counter measures. Indeed he persistently undermines the very domestic and foreign national security agencies and leadership that are responsible for protecting democracy and rule of law from attack.
.
He snubs and belittles foreign democratic allies, while uplifting Putin above our national security agencies.
.
These things collectively are pretty much the definition of treason: the betrayal of a trust
.
Do think about these things, independents and RINOs who may be reading. Consider that the GOP at all levels has abdicated a responsibility to check Trump in any meaningful way when you cast a ballot in November.
.
The Noways and downthemiddles will control the GOP until you act to stop them.
Pray tell how folks abusing their power are HEROES? Cant they be heroes doing an honest job?
There is a deep state. A lot of them are getting fired aren’t they? Do any of your want to deny the coordinated attack against the Trump Campaign?
Do you want to defend Soros and the millions he gives to liberal causes? If so go for it. I thought you guys wanted big money out of politics right? Which is it
Also, fwiw, I think your thoughts– and to be fair—many others’ thoughts– are shaped by the worst of the media and partisans.
So, it’s obv absurd to think that half the country is just racist, and no one actually think that. But because the racists get all the media attention, and the response gets the same, then it seems like it’s all just about racism. But it’s just a hot issue, and it’s aflame. But the response is not to complain about the complaints, it’s to acknowledge and denounce.
The issue is aflame because the press and the libs want it aflame. Race relations are hugely better in this country over the last 20 years. Much less the last 50 years. One band of race baiters loses if race relations are dramatically better.
Can anyone name any policy that is designed to keep another group down today? Can we think of many policies set up to bring folks up? A ton of them.
So where are all the racists keeping us down? IT DOES NOT EXIST ANY MORE. Folks have their freedom. They can pursue anything they want in this country. Thank God. Celebrate it. Is everything fair? Nope. Is it getting better?
Isn’t this why the take a knee movement flopped? There is no plantation here. Great athletes that earned their positions making millions and complaining about it does not resemble an aggrieved group. It is 80% black because of merit. It doesn’t work. Sorry.
It backfired and basically pisses most folks off. That tactic doesn’t work any more does it?
Does anyone on this blog think the democrats want race relations to be better and NOT an election issue this November? Why is that? Be honest please.
It’s the press, not the robocalls.
Sure.
Denial is the most predictable of human responses.
The reason the NFL is 80% black is due to chattel slavery.
Just because they made it and vast numbers of others in their group didn’t is no reason for them to be quiet. Are you really saying there are no more racists in positions of power?
You would have a very, very different perspective of day to day life in this country if you were black. I cannot believe you think hundreds of years of them getting treated like dirt is all of a sudden over and no legacy of said treatment exists in our society. Voter ID laws are subtle attempts to lower minority voter participation. There isn’t anymore out and out de jure discrimination, sure, but who has been arguing that?
I don’t believe you are very intelligent and you are very likely a complete waste of human life. However, I also don’t believe you are that stupid.
“Can anyone name any policy that is designed to keep another group down today?”
Without trying too hard at all, I would say that the state and federal justice system’s policies of handling >90% of cases through plea bargaining is on its face racist. This is a report by the DoJ from 2011 that describes some of the factors that lead the majority of defendants to accept a plea deal.
https://www.bja.gov/Publications/PleaBargainingResearchSummary.pdf
They include a lack of resources, as in a lack of public defenders, who would be paid for by the State at a level proportionate to the cases brought if states cared about actual due process rather than the appearance thereof.
This is a report by researchers at Loyola (I know, a major lefty indoctrination center), that surveyed 30,000 plea deals in Wisconsin in order to find disparities in the way cases are plead.
https://poseidon01.ssrn.com/delivery.php?ID=027115021017125105022028017011069108008059093080069017118115078010116122078099121117120055019124104125055004124074084101100095009073089037037069112083071095110074011051083005021068093121112121023072099127010098119076071070007028110092099068005015003013&EXT=pdf
You might not be surprised that first-offense White people got out of any jail time for misdemeanors 75% more often than first-offense Black people. Is that systematic? It’s hard to say because, as this 2019 project summary for an upcoming national prosecutor survey (1st para. p.4) by DoJ points out, this kind of data isn’t collected.
https://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/nsp19_sol.pdf
Why hasn’t it been collected even though plea bargains have been the chief way of handling cases for a long time now? Maybe because a careful look would be damning to the so-called concept of equality under the law.
“Can anyone name any policy that is designed to keep another group down today?”
As many have demonstrated before, there is no point going into policy details with you. You just ignore them, and/or in one ear out the other, and/or actively turn a blind eye, and return to your broad opinions.
Even if there was a policy named “Racist Policy #1” you would deny it without even looking at the substance. The reality is that the issue is far more nuanced, as you can read by this article that just entered my news feed. I don’t expect you’ll want to discuss any of its actual substance, but I wouldn’t mind if you did.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/trump%e2%80%99s-justice-department-redefines-whose-civil-rights-to-protect/ar-BBMPqgh?ocid=ientp
O_O, the absence of data collection and research may be purposeful. It certainly is with respect to guns. It puts those that rely on science and facts at a disadvantage to those controlled by their emotions.
Dave, I certainly agree. While I was searching for my sound-smart sauce, I found that the FBI piloted a “national use of force data collection program”, in order to create some concrete data as the country debates police use of force. The FBI said that the pilot results were submitted to OMB, and would probably roll out nationwide in 2018, but I haven’t been able to find any news about it, maybe it was squashed. Other sinister sequestrations of information include the CDC’s inability to research firearms deaths, the EPA’s (and USDA’s) inability to discuss climate change with the public, and the dearth of information about deportation efforts. These issues are frequently debated with an invective and divisiveness that might not be possible if we had access to more and higher quality information. On the other hand, obviously, there are plenty of people who don’t care about numbers and what they mean and would probably rant on regardless.
It doesn’t have to be half the country. It can be only a few percent, but if that’s what tips the balance, then it just as well is much more.
.
Beyond that, what do you think of Trump supporters that think racism is insignificant, and especially those supporting Trump precisely to disparage people that think racism is significant. To me, they’re in the same camp as racists, and the camp is much more than a few percent.
Racist Reference 9, 10 and 11! You should be proud!
Race Reference 16!!!!!!!!!!!!
Racist Reference 17!!!!! Lmao!!!
Lack of courage #17. Pretty soon you are going to be the Cowardly Lion and are going to be trying to find the Wizard to get some magic elixir.
Secret? There are more leaks from the FBI than a Depends shot with buckshot. The whole investigation is based on leaks. Poor ones.
Don’t know what you’re talking about. Mueller has every incentive to keep his info as tightly-held as possible. Both to prevent repercussions and to prevent appearances of biased, both of which would undermine his job.
The info he has gotten out into the public have been through indictments. Those aren’t leaks, those are preliminary results.
And he has much more ready to go, I’m sure. I’m sure he’s prepared for every contingency of obstruction as well. My guess he’s even got indictments ready to drop on a dime in the event there’s another Saturday Night Massacre.
Obstruction…isnt that another dog whistle!? I know that is a stolen liberal term that is nonsense. Sorry. Has Mueller be fired? Has Rosenstein the conflicted goober been fired?
Comey should have been fired ages ago as everyone agrees…yet this is the joke of a reason for the investigation. Paying a hooker to shut up and go home? Really? Give us a break okay?
If Trump had actually paid someone just to go home out of his personal account and written them a check none of this would be an issue. However his cheapskate money laundering ways are biting him. He and Cohen formed a bogus corporation to launder money through and it is also considered an in kind feonly campaign contribution. There is a reason why Pecker had to get immunity and it’s because he was doing the same kind of in kind felony campaign contribution Trump was doing. All you talk about is Mueller but so far convictions have come out of the DC AG, SD NY and then there’s charity fraud from the NY AG.
80% of the NFL being black is due to chattel slavery! I have never heard a more racist, false and illogical statement since the last thing that idiot said.
The NFL has more black athletes because they earned it!
Doe anyone buy what Dr.Slavery is peddling? Does anyone think Matt’s replies here are a sign of deep wisdom and experience? Boy Matt sure can speak for the minority community alright.
I will go ask my buddies if the NFL players are better because of chattel slavery or because they kicked everyone’s ass that tried to beat them out of their positions. Are their any white athletes that want to play in the NFL? We they born on the same liberal plantation.
Dude you need help!
Caroline, personal funds or not it is an issue because toady weirdo Mike Pence declared that adulterers and unstable and unfit to be President. Except when they’re not.
Obstruction just a phony whistle you say?
No sooner than you ask than another story arises…
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/video/giuliani-says-he%e2%80%99s-sure-white-house-will-try-to-block-parts-of-mueller%e2%80%99s-russia-report/vi-BBMPtAk?ocid=ientp
This may not be the crime of obstruction of justice- but it is certainly obstruction-ism.
But you can continue to attempt to obfuscate whistleblowers with dog whistles, in an attempt to displace the unimaginable shame of the possibility of being wrong.
https://psychcentral.com/lib/15-common-defense-mechanisms/?all=1
A word of advice from my Psych 101 degree: Just acknowledge what it means if it turns out you’re wrong. Be brave.
I know what happens if it turns out I’m wrong. I would have to acknowledge Trump as being brave and revolutionary, and not self-interested and vindictive. Which is why I plausibly take the position I do.
Trump is attempting to address some things that need addressing; Chinese theft of technology and intellectual property, Europeans not keeping NATO defense funding commitments, NK nukes, etc. But we may actually lose when Trump wins, aside from the risk of his recklessness. Creative destruction as good for its own sake is way over-rated.
Dude, Mueller does not leak. He runs a tight ship. Everything that we have learned so far has come from the attorneys for the defendants or the defendants themselves. So we probably do not even know a tenth of what Mueller and his team knows and apparently they are months ahead. We did not find out about George Papadapolous until 6 months after Mueller had him dead in his sights just to give you one example.
The latest conviction goes straight to the connection between the Trump campaign and Putin. Of course, it’s not Mueller directly in that it was a case Mueller handed off to the DC AG.
Montana, N. Dakota …TGM begins his campaign swarm!!! AWWW!! NAWWW!!! Didn’t Ol’ Noway tell yall this wuz gonna happen!!!???
I hope my little bitch is here after election day!
You never did answer if you were a second or third knuckle guy?
Little Bitch–
I don’t respect you enough to even answer your questions.
Piss off.
LMMFAO!! Talking about respect?? This from a guy who’s wished me dead on numerous occasions and once, after his balls dropped, implied that he’d actually do it himself!! What an absolute joke! Ain’t no way, with the words you use and the sentiments you express, you actually work with live patients. So, head back down to the morgue, Quincy!
MattMD_actual, Noway revels in baiting and exalts in the subsequent lowering of civility and discourse. It’s a characteristic of many Trump supporters. Don’t indulge them.
Yeah, death wishes and implied threats are MY fault! Lol! Got it!
I wasn’t finding fault for such things.
Man, this Doc has some anger issues…maybe they don’t mind in the morgue!
A traitor exalted by supporters has a way of doing that.
Good I’m glad to hear it. I hope he campaigns for everybody. It will make great ads showing candidate x with the background from the SD NY naming him an unindicted co conspirator.
A state like MT where GOP Congressional candidates punch out their rivals is the current GOP style. Totally Trump classy.
Because I love graphs and maps.

If only there were only a way to include a population element. Consider Georgia. Geographically there’s a good dose of dark coloring, but it includes only one county in north Georgia. A few metro Atlanta counties equal much of south Georgia economically and population-wise. It’s one-sided though in that’s the dark coloring is all Trump country except for a few mostly southwest Georgia counties.
.
The dark red of the most populous portion of ND bodes well for Heitkamp.
.
One by one all the “endangered” senators are moving in to safer territory. Heitkamp is getting it easier because of her opponent and Trump’s trade war killing the farmers in ND. McCaskill was though to be in the most danger of losing until the MO GOP blew itself up.
Lmao! Delusional!
This is your mind on Breitbart.
So Rudy is now saying that Trump wants to hide the report from Mueller from the public.

And tomorrow he’ll be saying something entirely different.
Race comments at Aretha’s funeral that were not PC… I did not hear these over the I hate Trump and conservatives stuff. Do you think this minister has a point? Are both of these points not even bigger problems facing many communities?
Besides a social media uproar, Williams heard resistance at the funeral itself. Singer Stevie Wonder yelled out “black lives matter” after the pastor said, “No, black lives do not matter” during his eulogy.
Williams had minimized the Black Lives Matter movement because of black-on-black crime. “Black lives must not matter until black people start respecting black lives and stop killing ourselves.”
He also said “there are not fathers in the home no more” and said that a black woman cannot raise a black boy to be a man. Some people suggested that was disrespectful of Aretha Franklin, a single mother of four boys.
His eulogy “caught the entire family off guard,” Vaughn Franklin said. The family had not discussed what Williams

Since black on black crime is 100X more frequent that white on black crime, don’t you think the return on investment would be better addressing this? If 75% of kids have no father active in their life, isn’t that a cultural disaster and leads to a terrible cycle of poverty and crime in many cases?
Why is that politically correct incorrect to say?
More race comments that are constructive. We all agree Trump has a HUGE or is that YUGE ego…He wants to be the best president ever, right? Why would he not want to improve the situation in minority communities? Jim Brown and Kanye must be Uncle Toms, right?
Why have Trump’s approval ratings doubled in the black community despite everyone trying to gin up hate against him and conservatives in general? Does record low black unemployment count as racist?

The eulogy, and the stat you mentioned, display the vast misunderstanding in actual crime problems, and are the insidious way they have been used to create a false narrative.
So, your “stat” above, comparing “black on black” vs. “white on black” crime- how is that a useful or even realistic look at the problem? There are still many communities where due to historic segregation, or choice, are easily over 90% African American. So residential segregation alone makes that stat useless because of the odds that people commit crimes against their neighbors. Residential segregation remains pervasive, btw. But if you compare “black on black” crime with “white on white” crime, the crime rate is statistically the same. So, your stat is pointless, and is often just used to create the false narrative that African-Americans are more likely to commit crimes. The creation of that narrative, btw, displays racial animus.
Overall, crime within all communities has dropped significantly over the past decades.
There are certainly high crime areas- at the neighborhood level- but they shouldn’t be used to slander or paint false pictures of entire populations. That’s also – you know- prejudicial.
So, you have to get your facts and science straight, and use them properly in order to understand the actual problem, not the one that’s been politically manufactured.
But yes, folks of all stripes make these types of mistakes, and all humans are susceptible to false narratives.
That’s not to say there isn’t value in saying folks should stop killing each other. That statement alone, seems reasonable regardless.
As does saying that two-parent households are good. Sure, they can be good. But not necessarily. There is science out, I believe, that says two parents helps folks escape poverty easier, on average, as well as other supporting science. But that doesn’t mean you disparage single-parent households in the process. You can lift all worthy boats at once, and modern families are more complicated than families before the 70s/80s.
And as far as why you don’t hear much uproar here on GAPol, it may be because the odds of African-Americans engaging on this blog are reduced due to the fact that it has Republican roots and that it’s not worth tolerating when people post dumb stuff that is racist-tolerant, or when Noway just gets off on the fact that race is even part of a discussion. But there’s no curing such idiocy. Sphincter says Race Reference?
Is “race tolerant” a new made-up phrase like “white privilege?” Just curious…
I understood the little I know of the Pastor’s remarks to be focused on breakdown within the black community in general. But when law and order (not white collar, natch) is a priority….. Well, when all you have is a hammer…..
A couple for Andrew…
According to Andrew, “80% of the NFL is black and is due to chattel slavery”. Does that “horrible” situation apply to Tom Brady and Matt Ryan?
Do they look like slaves to anyone on this blog or anyone else on earth— or it just Andrew?
Did anyone make them play football? Or maybe they liked the OPPORTUNITY to compete at the highest level regardless of race, to try and achieve greatness, fame and fortune?
Andrew, do you think Jackie Robinson appreciated the OPPORTUNITY to play baseball?
Does anyone think Andrew could have talked Jackie out of his love for the game and his desire to compete?
