Listening to WABE this morning they mentioned three Presidents and a Vice President have all weighed in on the 2018 gubernatorial election in Georgia.
(Donald Trump and Mike Pence for Brian Kemp and Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama for Stacey Abrams who also was endorsed by Hillary Clinton).
Which got me to thinking: has there ever been a time when there’s been this many presidential-level endorsements in a Georgia race? Partly it’s because Democrats can tie themselves to the national party and partly because we’re (theoretically) no longer a one-party state.
I have no takeaway here or big point about any of the candidates, just piquing my Georgia political history interests.
