Today in Atlanta, Democratic Candidate for Lt. Governor Sarah Riggs Amico can be found campaigning with New York Democratic Senator Kristen Gillibrand on an Anti-ICE platform. Meanwhile, Republican Candidate for Lt. Governor, Geoff Duncan announced the endorsement of 29 Georgia Sheriffs from across the state.
From a press release via the Duncan campaign:
“We need leaders who will help law enforcement bust gangs and deport illegal gang members,” said Forsyth Sheriff Ron Freeman. “Geoff is one of those leaders but the other side wants to abolish ICE and turn a blind eye to violent crime. No thanks, our citizens trust us to keep them safe. We’ll stick with Geoff Duncan.” |

Atlanta, Georgia
ranks number two in the country for calls of Human Trafficking per capita and number seven for total number of calls. College Park, Georgia is on the
top ten list for violent crime with the highest annual trend. And while there are many factors that make up rankings, more oft than not, there is a link between drug trafficking, human trafficking, gangs, and a lack of border enforcement. The Left should not be surprised that Law Enforcement is wary of State and Local officials who favor leniency on laws that lesson the ability of Law Enforcement to uphold their oath to serve and protect. You will hear Law Enforcement say over and over again that their job is to uphold the laws, not create them. However, the job of law enforcement is a calling. And that calling creates the need to protect those in their community.
The 29 Sheriff’s endorsing Geoff Duncan are:
Tim Burkhalter- Floyd
Chris Clinton- Towns
Butch Conway- Gwinnett
Kris Coody- Bleckley
Steve Cronic- Fmr. Hall
Ron Freeman- Forsyth

We have four ICE detention centers here in Georgia and they are all worst than the state prisons.
“Stuart Detention Center looks like a Caribbean resort after the apocalypse: two rows of fence fifteen feet high, topped with another few feet of spiraled razor wire, surround the maroon-paneled main entrance, flanked by palm trees on either side. Of course, it’s anything but: it is the largest ICE detention center in the United States. The all-male medium security facility holds up to almost 2,000 male detainees, and given the financial incentives the U.S. government provides to for-profit corporations like CoreCivic, the center is almost always at or near capacity. That means that on any given day, Stewart’s detainee population exceeds the 1,100 residents of Lumpkin.
According to the most recent data compiled by the non-profit group Freedom for Immigrants, Georgia, which has a total of four ICE detention centers, incarcerates an average of 3,717 detainees, the fourth largest number in the country after Texas (15,852), California (6,527), and Arizona (3,869). It is one of the worst states in the country for an asylum-seeking immigrant. According to the Executive Office for Immigration Review, in the fiscal year ending 2016, immigration judges nationwide approved 43 percent of petitions for asylum.
In Georgia immigration courts, this figure hovers somewhere between a dismal two and 10 percent. It’s so low Georgia has been dubbed an Asylum-Free Zone. Moreover, reports have found numerous human rights violations, including excessive and unjustified use of solitary confinement as well as poor access to medical care at Stewart. The center is also routinely short-staffed. El Refugio’s volunteers, and the people they assist, are up against a lot.”

I can’t stand this us versus them attitude Republicans have developed.
Y’all just throw out the teachings of Jesus and go with the devil. We need some spirituality in the USA.
The President of the Republicans, Trump, this week told ’em you’re evil, so you’re evil. Get used to it.
I agree. Seriously screams desperation.
Do you know how ridiculous it sounds to attack Riggs-Amico for campaigning with Kirsten Gillibrand because she’s from NY when the same people want the Trumps to campaign for them and they are from NYC. Gillibrand is not even from NYC. She’s from upstate NY. The message I get from this post is that internal polling is very bad for the GOP ticket. The NBC poll found that Kavanaugh is a real drag on the GOP and that was even before he was confirmed and had his toddler meltdown before the entire country.
That’s JUSTICE Toddler to you, Carolina! LMAO!!
Yes, Aunt Lydia. Blessed be the fruit. Right? Authoritarianism makes you happy. I get it. Kavanaugh hates the same people you do therefore you are happy. Too bad it’s 65 to 70% of the country. Too bad so sad.
I never read Handmaids. So, please whine in regular words.
Only you would see that as a whine. Conservatives are the ones that whine not liberals. Start practicing your whine because politico said today that 68 GOP house seats are in trouble and Ford announced layoffs because of your support of an idiotic carnival barker.
Rand Paul is complaining about Cory Booker exhorting people to get up in Congress peoples faces.
.
Remember when Paul complained about Trump talking about punching people in the face, or the Montana Republican Congressman actually punching a reporter in a room full of media? Neither do I.
Or a Dem supporter shooting Scalise?!
What does any of this team sport bullshit have to do with deciding who is the more qualified candidate to bang a gavel in the state senate?
Yeah that guy that shot Scalise should never have been able to legally get a gun. Cops called on him at least 6 times, domestic violence, angry letters… All the signs were there, but if you have a lot of guns around and no regs, some of them are going to get into the wrong hands.
It’s so pathetic to hear people who won’t do anything about gun violence whine about gun violence.
Remember when Paul was attacked and he will not be the last. Benev is Blaming the gun again…and you better go out and vote to keep the socialist anarchists out of power!!
Here is the democratic party these days. A giant up wrap smear. With their leftist buddies in the press. What other message do the socialists have? I hate…I hate….At least she admits they are a bunch of authoritarians.
Trump is giving more freedoms back to the people. Just the opposite of the hooligans. And she projects this on to the republicans.
The only example in the video was Trump claiming he was spied on? And she is claiming that was a lie!! Obviously there were spies, spying, leaks, plants, FISA warrants and a frame job before and after the election. Dozens fired in the FBI or “retired” and more to come. The Russian scam was far more detailed that just this authoritarian strategy.
The Kavanagh frame up was nothing compared to the Russian investigation. Go vote folks. Keep em out.

Dozens fired in the FBI
And they are all your golfing buddies?
I’m not blaming the gun. That guy had a history of violent behavior and run-ins with the law.
There is a reason we keep sharp objects away from kids and take drivers licences from drunks. Because it works.
The NRA will say anything to keep from having to do anything that might result in the loss of one gun sale. They aren’t lobbying for your rights. They are lobbying for gun manufacturers. Scalise and Giffords and everybody else who gets shot is the subsidy we are paying to prop up that industry.
Tax the sh*t out of ammo!
Nobody attacked Paul with a gun. He got body slammed by his neighbor. You can’t let go of all conservatives being a victim for 2 seconds can you?
I remember when he was attacked and he was strangely quiet about what happened, then released a statement saying it was a result of a dispute with a neighbor. So the Republican victimhood barrel is being scraped as we speak.
Hey buttercup, you may want to inform Donnelly, Tester, McCaskill, Heitkamp, and Bredesen that JUSTICE Kavenaugh ( don’t you just love the sound of that!) is a drag on the GOP. Somehow I doubt they have gotten that message yet.
They voted against him. Donnelly’s polling is still good. The only one that has had bad polling is Heitkamp but she said she has to look in the mirror when she brushes her teeth in the morning and just could not vote for someone like Kavanaugh. You haven’t kept up with the polling or the news if you think Kavanaugh has not been a drag on the GOP. You can keep celebrating Kavanuagh while the other 65% of the country gets to work getting rid of his stench.
