WATCH: New Ad Highlights Abrams’ Faith
The Democratic Party of Georgia has released a new television ad highlighting how Stacey Abrams’ upbringing “shaped her ability to become a strong leader and work across the aisle to get things done.”
“Growing up we didn’t have much. But my family’s challenges showed me what’s possible,” Abrams says in the ad. “I’m running for governor because I believe we can continue the progress we’ve made by building each other up not by tearing each other down.”
The ad shows Abrams working with Nathan Governor Deal and fighting for causes, including the HOPE scholarship, under the Gold Dome.
SCRIPT:
ABRAMS: Growing up we didn’t have much. But my family’s challenges showed me what’s possible.
VOICEOVER: Putting politics aside Stacey Abrams worked across the aisle to deliver results and solve big problems like working with Governor Deal to protect the HOPE scholarship and all day Pre-K and stopped a massive tax hike on Georgians. Because getting results takes a leader.
ABRAMS: I’m running for governor because I believe we can continue the progress we’ve made by building each other up not by tearing each other down.
VOICEOVER: Stacey Abrams for Georgia.

That is a bad headline. I thought the commercial was going to be about religion.
The ad is entitled “Faith.” Other than the dinner prayer, I didn’t see anything about faith.
Yes, faith and religion are 2 different things. They can be merged together, but are not always. Instead of making an ad about eschatological (ecumenical?) jurisprudence, perhaps she thought folks might just appreciate the concept of faith.
I guess she lost your vote, eh?
Great ad. She’s targeting those suburban white women that traditionally vote republican. May be a little too late, but she’s doing what needs to be done to be competitive.
I think her positive messaging has been on point.
It’s nice to hear some messages about social unity.
No problem with the add but that is NOT the message of the democratic socialists. It is a scorched earth policy if you don’t buy their message. There is NO TOLERANCE whatsoever.
Cant it be boiled down to vote for jobs or vote for the mobs?
Wait, I thought she as a “democratic socialist”?
If so, that’s the message.
And if you think all “democratic socialists” are the same, that’s the message for all of them.
Your own logic.
Balance are you saying she is NOT a democratic socialist? If so, when did she change?
I’m saying that according to your logic, if she is a democratic socialist, then her message of social unity is the message of democratic socialists.
Social unity would appear to be a logical message for socialists, though.
So you are saying that Stacy should dismiss all those old folks that watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy live? You don’t have to win that demographic as a democrat, but if you can shave a point or two off. At the end of the day that may be what it takes.
Actually ACP, you’d be surprised how many millennials actually watch regular TV who don’t want to cable but just buy an HD antenna for TV. We can just do internet as well as on wifi hotspot of our phones and avoid cable and internet providers altogether. Some of us are just cheap so I see all the ads.
That being said, the Kemp ad with the blond who says she’s a sexual assault victim on the Kemp commercial criticizing Abrams…. um, you have proof? That’s the standard the Kavavanaugh hearings set isn’t it?
Wait a minute, we should just believe her right?! That is all we heard for a month. And the left tried to gin up enough hatred to buy some votes while ruining anyone in their path, right?
I think we should hang the perp she identified and let the liberals on this blog open up the gallows hatch! No questions asked. I believe her. I believe her. No evidence needed. Like a horrible lynching of olden days. That is how they play the game for their own advantage isn’t it?
Two can plan that game all day long. Do you believe Clinton raped Juanita Broderick? If not, why not? She is DEMANDING an FBI investigation…
Will Hillary come out and try to destroy the gal in this ad?
