Bipartisan Poll Shows Handel Leading
A joint poll between Bold Blue Campaigns, a Democratic polling company, and JMC Analytics and Polling, a Republican polling firm, shows a lead by Rep. Karen Handel (49%) over Lucy McBath (45%), with 6% undecided, in the GA-6 congressional race. They also interviewed GA-6 voters on the Governor’s race with Kemp showing a lead over Abrams at 47-45, with 6% undecided.
The poll was based upon 500 likely voters with a 4.5% margin of error. An executive summary of the poll with topline questions, crosstabs, and analysis can be found at: https://www.scribd.com/

That’s good news for Handel given that one-half of independents are Republicans very likely to break to Handel.
I’m not sure I buy any likely voter model going into this election…especially looking at the crosstabs of the early voting taking place thus far. Of all the voters who have voted early ages 18-29 76% did not vote in the last 2 elections. Thats a really significant rise that no LV model is going to get right.
Also, both of those numbers are within the MOE.
