Why did you link to Google News instead of the source for the Gowdy article?
If Trey wants the closed door taped interview to go public, why not just have the interview open to begin with?
Selective release and editing of course, building on what the WH did with the video of Acosta.
My benefit-of-the-doubt assumption would be that they want the opportunity to edit anything that might be classified. But Comey should insist on getting an unedited copy for himself so he can check, and maybe release his own excerpts as necessary.
I think the argument is that on TV, the questioner usually only has about 5 minutes and the Senators and Congressmen are simply playing to their base and half of them have no interest in the truth. I would love to see Gowdy have hours with this guy!
I want Comey AND Mueller to answer tough questions about how biased this has been. The sooner the better.
Why did this happen?
https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2018/11/24/donations-to-clinton-foundation-plunged-after-hillarys-defeat/amp/
Oh I don’t know, why did donations to Trump foundation increase after he won the election?
I will take a stab at this one. Why donate if your contribution buys no influence? Who is going to pay for Chelsea’s salary! Don’t be hatin’ Noway.
My guess is the disbanding of the Clinton Global Initiative in the summer of 2016 lead to most of the reductions. The majority of the work the CGI did was transferred to other global charities, like The Gates Foundation (which partnered with CGI for vaccination programs), Bloomberg’s many foundations and organizations (he took over the yearly UN economy conferences the CGI did), and Global Citizen to name a few.
The rest, IMHO is the shine lost on Bill with the 20 year reexamination of his impeachment as related to the current Metoo mea culpa, and basic lose of international influence.
Ellyn, I think your comments are spot on.
Now if I can just get you to sell my name right…
Voting for the Secretary of State run-off begins today.
“Early voting begins Monday for Georgia’s runoff elections for secretary of state and a seat on the Public Service Commission. Election Day is Dec. 4.
In each race, neither the Republican nor Democratic candidate got a majority of the vote. In both races, Libertarian candidates garnered more than 2 percent of the votes.
Democrat John Barrow of Athens faces Republican Brad Raffensperger in the secretary of state race. The winner will succeed Robyn Crittenden, appointed to the post by Gov. Nathan Deal after Gov.-elect Brian Kemp resigned following the Nov. 6 general elections.”

Mr. Sam’s nephew can’t take him for early voting. Guess who got the call about 15 minutes ago?! I’ll report back on numbers at the polls!
Thirty minute wait! Folks in parking lot talking about Trump and Kav!! Kid you not! Reliving the Senate wins! Shaking their heads on House results, though…
Early voting was very slow at one of the 3 places at Chatham Co.
Thirty minute wait for early voting for a runoff that won’t see a double digit turn out? BS. I voted today and was the only voter present the entire time.
Oh, and my imaginary friend thinks Trump is an ass.
Don’t know what to tell you, Willy. I guess voters in my area take their civic duty more seriously than the Libs in your district.
There you go again… I now live in the district represented by that notorious lib Jody Hice. I also don’t feel the need to lie about my voting experience as an attempt to market a party. Are you paid to produce these fantasies? And again do you think projecting false labels and insults helps your “side”?
Back from suspension, are we?
I guess Noway creates fake accounts and posts things on them… Sound familiar?
Speaking of imaginary, isn’t it time for you to revive Caroline and BJgotcha?
I am sure he was BJ but no way he was Caroline. I wonder if he was Matt MD myself…If not they are kindred spirits…
Speaking of voting results, apparently 97% of black women voted for Stacy Abrams… I may be wrong, but isn’t that racist? If 97% of white folks voted for the white guy wouldn’t that be called racist? Help me here.

The question here is are they reducing production because of cost and sales related issues… Or are they closing their older plants (which they can afford to do at a cheer price under the 2017 corporate tax changes) and negotiate out of Union labor contracts – Then rebuild new plants in other locations with a better union deal or no union at all…

While you wait on NASA’s Mars InSight landing this afternoon you might want to watch this time-lapse sequence of a Soyuz resupply launch to the ISS as shot from the ISS. Better than CGI. (Full screen is highly recommended):
Success!
And how does the NRA feel about the police telling folks legal gun holders should not pull weapons when being fired on in a crowd? He was a ‘good guy’ trying to stop a ‘bad guy’… Any of you NRA folks know what is on the NRA press release on this?

Although not noted in this link, another news outlet reported, the man said a ghost had put the meth in his home. No word if the ghost also gave him the cocaine.
This is about the election from hell. If you are tired of talking about it, you will be forgiven if you skip this comment.
1- The reputed voter suppression was routinely condemned as being racist, with shameful levels of high octane rhetoric. Does anyone have any explanation for this?
The infamous postcards sent out by the Secretary of State were triggered by people not voting in three years. Are we saying that people of color are more likely to miss voting?
2 – The Georgia custom of holding runoffs has long been considered racist. Now, this year, a candidate of color came within a few votes of forcing a runoff, and a second chance at election. Last year, Mary Norwood got the most votes in the first round election, only to be defeated by Keisha Lance Bottoms in the runoff.
3 – There was an article by AP about 53k voter registrations being put on hold. It was a source of much discussion in the last weeks of the campaign. This article has been taken down by AP. A cached copy is still available… https://www.apnews.com/fb011f39af3b40518b572c8cce6e906c Why would AP delete this article?
These are rhetorical questions, right? Because an actual invitation to discuss would be a little more specific in it’s queries.
1- Explanation for what? Overheated campaign rhetoric? Does anyone really need to explain that to you?
2- Long been considered racist? By who? When?
3- If you are hung up on the 53,000, just read the lawsuit and get over it. Please?
“A preliminary review of data produced by the Georgia Secretary of
State’s Office on July 4, 2018 indicates that approximately 51,111 voter
registration applicants were in “pending” status for reasons related to the “exact
match” protocol, i.e., the purported failure to verify against DDS or SSA identity
or citizenship data. Approximately 80.15% of those pending applications were
submitted by African-American, Latino and Asian-American applicants.”
https://lawyerscommittee.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Georgia-exact-match-complaint-.pdf
Thank you for that legal document. That is more informative than “An analysis of the records obtained by The Associated Press” That comment was cited as gospel before the election. My comment here was about the article being taken down.
I prefer to leave points one and two as is without further discussion.
Well the statistics in the lawsuit are the root of the prejudice argument, and Kemp lost that case, so there apparently was some merit to it.
I’m not sure who said ‘racism’. A quote or link would be helpful to determine the source and context. Otherwise, like I said, no need to pretend it’s a question if you just want to make a statement.
I am not aware of runoffs being considered racist, but I can imagine a time when it likely was. Has anyone made that claim in the past 50 years?
The document was filed 10/11/18 . That is mighty fast action for a case being lost. Also, the 53k voters in the AP article were processed by the counties. Kemp was routinely blamed for things done by the counties.
Here is one of many examples of so called voter suppression being racist. https://chamblee54.wordpress.com/2018/11/23/the-problem-with-greg-palast/ This claim was at the heart of the Abrams campaign. There are many, many more examples. If you google GregPalast … spell search suggestion Greasepaint … you will find numerous examples.
I did a quick google search for the runoff is racist trope. All I could find was information about the recent election. I seem to recall this being said by SPLC types, although I don’t have any specific examples at the moment. As I said, I prefer to leave the comment there as is, and not get into a internet squabble.
So you just want to drop a link to your own site and not discuss here? I’m sure the proprietors appreciate that.
“Processed by the counties”. You have said this several times now, and I believe it has been responded to. The SoS provides guidance to the counties on how to do this processing.
“A federal district judge in Georgia denied Secretary of State Brian Kemp’s request to pause an injunction the judge ordered last week that prevents election officials from tossing out certain absentee ballots.”
https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/414117-judge-rules-against-kemp-in-absentee-ballot-request
You can play semantics all you want, but the facts are that Kemp is the one who directed counties use the ‘exact match’ standard (which was NOT specifically written into the law here), so Kemp was the one who was sued, and Kemp is the one that had to then direct the counties to relax those standards. “The counties” didn’t collectively interpret the law to mean ‘exact match’, they were directed to do so… by the SoS. Yup, he did that. Pick another subject if you want to try to whitewash (pun intended) Brian Kemp’s record.
But anyway, Greg Palast didn’t come out of nowhere. He was writing for The Guardian for many years going back to (at least) GW Bush days. He has exposed a lot of voting irregularities then and since.
But look, here it is in a nutshell: Abrams has been registering massive amounts of (presumably) minority voters for several years now via The New Georgia Project. Brian Kemp knew this. He tried to tighten the registration rules in 2016 and was shot down in court. So in 2017 the legislature passed a law intended to allow his purge efforts. So in 2018 he tried it again, and again he was sued and again he lost. In the course of all this he was recorded saying ““… you know the Democrats are working hard, and all these stories about them, you know, registering all these minority voters that are out there and others that are sitting on the sidelines, if they can do that, they can win these elections in November.” You can say it’s not racist, but in the context it is going to raise some red flags, and people are going to call that as they see it. If this was about Democrats winning there was no reason to mention “minorities”, so it sounds suspicious. For the thousandth time: If you don’t want to be called a racist, don’t say racist sounding stuff.
You may not want to squabble, but when it sounds like someone is trying to justify disenfranchising minority voters, I am likely to squabble anyway.
The stuff I ordered last Monday with delayed shipping from Amazon that was to be delivered tomorrow has been delayed till Wednesday…
It was last in Chattanooga this morning… I’m thinking it’s somewhere in the pictures in the link…
