I guess Shatner is getting up there in his dotage. That ain’t Red Skelton. It is Ricardo Montalban, his co-star in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. And yes the scene is tame, they had to be. But big difference between Red Skelton the clown and Ricardo, the Latin lover.
You need to watch further into the video around minute mark 2:40. before the Red Skelton portion.
Mea culpa, but if I have to wade that far into an old musical number to get the point then the point is lost on me. I’ve never been a fan of movies where everyone stops and breaks out into song. I’m not overwrought by the song; I just never liked it very well in the first place. Also it has little to nothing to do with my idea of Christmas.

I am certainly conservative, but my Facebook Newsfeed is filled with non stop liberal hate postings…and that is after unfollowing a ton of them.
A few conservatives will reply but most have jobs and don’t waste their time. I know that is not scientific evidence… I could not imagine what a liberal’s newsfeed must be like….Do any of you liberals have conservatives spouting off all day long against liberals or do you find most of the screeds coming from the left?

Whatever your opinion about Silent Sam, and Confederate monuments, this is going too far. Students paid money to take a class, and worked to get a grade. Now, some teaching assistants have taken it upon themselves to not issue grades, as a protest of the UNC decision to bring back Silent Sam. This is not right.
Ya’ know, there are hundreds of racially motivated assaults/crimes in the news at any given time. Maybe for once you could link to one of those and say “this is not right”?

Defending the expense of $5M to preserve a Confederate monument in a different state seems a bit like some outrage looking for a cause.

This past week’s news confirms lying, especially with respect to contacts with the Russians and denial and then defense of the lies when they’re undeniable, is pervasive to the point it’s nearly a defining trait of those close to or seeking to get close to Trump. From the NYT:

Some lied to appease Trump, as is common day in and day out in the Trump administration, but more often they lied because they know what they did was wrong and disreputable, even if not criminally so.
But climate change as a result of human activity is a pervasive lie, so it’s six of one, half dozen of the other. Am I right?

The information revealed this past week makes it clearer and clearer that breaking federal laws and being caught doing it is considered entirely in political terms by the GOP. Facts reported by federal prosecutors won’t matter. What matters is only whether the Republican Party as a whole will be successful in either dismissing crime as not being crime, or convincing enough of the public that Trump be allowed to commit crimes, purely because they can’t retain power and office without him. Ethics having been dismissed by the GOP, the bar is being lowered to dismissing law itself.
Remember the crickets three months ago when Trump berated Sessions for charges against two GOP Congressional candidates heralded the absence of GOP ethics? Trump said he could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and not lose voters, and the GOP is going to prove that he’s nothing to fear from the law in doing so either. MAGA.
