Perfect last minute gifts for the true believers in your life.
The presidential library: 10 books Trump recommended this year.
The first one earned a LOL from me:
The Faith of Donald J Trump: A Spiritual Biography by David Brody and Scott Lamb
This examination of the “spiritual journey” of the thrice-married, tax-evading billionaire takes 375 pages to build the hopeful argument that by surrounding himself with people of faith, Trump has become religious. Failing that, the authors write: “Clearly, God is using this man in ways millions of people could never imagine. But God knows and that’s good enough.”
The reviews:
“Holy crap!” Los Angeles Times…
All of the stupidity and none of the spirituality.
Rand Paul is not this year’s Grinch. I would submit that orange is the new green:
Top Trump official calls bankers, will convene ‘Plunge Protection Team’

Government shutdown, day 3: White House awaits Democratic reply to ‘counteroffer’ to $5B for border wall
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2018/12/24/white-house-awaits-democratic-reply-counteroffer-during-shutdown/2402106002/
Keep in mind that earlier last week the President signaled that he was OK with delaying the wall impasse until February. Then Limbaugh and Coulter chimed in…
Mattis is out, and Blackwater is back: ‘We are coming’
https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2018/12/21/mattis-is-out-and-blackwater-is-back-we-are-coming/
Of course the president has announced that Mattis is now out earlier than the 2+ months he allowed in his resignation letter as “he’s sort of a Democrat”.
The list goes on but I’ve got to carve up some steaks.
Merry Christmas to all in spite of the current politics.
At closed-door lunch last week, GOP senators were frustrated Trump didn’t tell Mitch et al what exactly he would sign. “He didn’t say because he didn’t know,” one GOP senator said.
It’s not that hard, Senators. If you would have worked through the holiday and staked your reputations on a legislation made public Wednesday morning, Coulter and Limbaugh would have enough time to tell Trump what to do enabling Trump to get back to you before next weekend. It’s the least you should’ve done, given Trump and his family’s suffering through Christmas in a dump of a White House.
