Did Blackwood, director of the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, offer up how many citations were given resulting in how much in new taxes in 2018?
My 11 days of a daily dose of hours of Fox News has ended. I should get a certificate of completion or something. Maybe a participation trophy at least.
Ellyn, you can now enjoy your NY Times.
Look at the article about former editor, Jill Abramson, telling everyone that the biased Times coverage of Trump is a dumpster fire of dishonestly and they have lost a ton of credibility! No kidding!
I could have told them that years ago. I do find it refreshing to hear an honest liberal publicly saying the coverage is appallingly biased. If you want to see an organization much worse than that, just look at pitiful CNN. Do they even try to pose as an honest purveyor of news? It is an embarrassing It is a relic of its old self. What a worthless sellout and peddler of fake news.
Does anyone want to disagree with this former editor of the Times?

Former employee of company that publicly and bitterly fire them is bad mouthing the company that fired said employee… how original.
Yep, but is what she is saying true? You dodged that one didn’t you?
I dodged it on purpose. No mater my reply, you would have gone on this long tangent of ranking against anything I said that was not 100% your point of view.
From the article on voting machines:
“Republican State Rep. Barry Fleming, who co-chairs the commission, said costs vary widely. Initial expenditures would be roughly $50 million for a hand-marked paper ballot system and about $150 million for a ballot-marking machine system, he said at last month’s meeting.
Georgia Tech computer science professor Wenke Lee, the only computer and cybersecurity expert on the commission, told his fellow commissioners that technology evolves quickly and investing in an expensive, tech-heavy system could leave Georgia with an outdated system again within just a few years. He recommended hand-marked paper ballots read by optical scanner.”
The KISS principle applies here. Arguments against a proven Scantron system that costs $100 million less are at best feeble. Services are already offered at the polls for those who cannot compete a ballot on their own. Blacking in boxes for them is not a cosmic leap. A system that allows for an audit trail from the voter all the way to the SoS to any court sure beats what we currently have. But Iraq’s hand-marking of a paper ballot and then dipping your thumb in indelible ink beats our current system as well.
A simple fill in the bubble system. Screens used to print ballots, screen for some electors that prints ballots, reader that convert the bubbles or ballots from screens having bar codes are unnecessary. Cut out the middleman!
interesting read.

It is an entertaining read. “Middle Class Joe” sounds like a Diva to me demanding a private plane, some idiot forced to buy 1000 of his books —like old Fort Worthless Jim Wright’s fictional tome out of the old grooveyard of liberal favorites— at full retail no doubt…. he sounds like a rapper demanding ho’s, weed and honey buns before his next concert tour!!
Oh and Houston we have a problem. So many libs these days are white people protesting white people for being white people! I cant figure that idocy out either….And they don’t make them much older, moldier, more boring, more male, more white and more swamp dweller than crazy ole Joe! This should get the millennials all fired up don’t you think? Is he as cool as Bernie?! This is too easy!
I cant wait to see if his running mate is Hillary! Maybe she can finally get to the White House if ole Joe croaks. Do you think Joe would feel “safe” is his VP was Hillary? He better wear a vest daily!
Maybe Joe could balance off the old white ticket with the “fresh” Cortez wizard or good ole Pocahontas! Could you imagine listening to those folks in a debate?! Like like, like!!! I think Trump might fair quite well!
By the way I ordered 23 and me and cant wait for the test results! I want it to come back about 20 % black and at least 2% Indian. That would explain a lot and I would be more than twice as Indian as the first Harvard professor of color!! Who has she been kidding for years?! (Is lying too harsh?)
I just love listening to liberal politics and the wizards on the bench. I am sure someone decent will crop up. I will buy one of Joe’s books at full retail. I hope it has more pages than Jim Wright’s old book. You youngsters might have to look at what that crook pulled off!
Noway, look at what Andrew is resorting to again.
Good Lord is that embarrassing. Can you see him on a college campus banning dissenting speakers? Running off to his safe space…putting on that pink hat or maybe getting a job at that vape shop…
I know. Just addressed it. Gently, I might add.
Andrew. Seriously?
Ellynn links to an article on Biden. DTM voices an opinion and throws in some Jim Wright historical context What has he done wrong? You’re frustrated? Obviously! Why appeal for DD to restrict him? Put some of that lawyer brainpower and offer a differing take!
I was laughing at the demand of Diva Joe to show up for a rally! Maybe we can become private citizens and candidates and demand that stuff just to show up. Is this how to relate to the common man if you are a democratic candidate?! I didn’t post the article. I was shocked and humored by it!! The ruling class against the rest of us…
I have heard performers acting like this with demands to show up. I was stunned that this is what candidates get to do once out of office. No wonder the Clintons are worth hundreds of millions…..
I am pointing out absurd hypocrisy and stretches of truth regarding all of those candidates. Many folks might enjoy the humor…but of course not YOU!
All of the candidates are relevant. You don’t think Hillary will have to face the honesty questions again. Warren with her hijinks of “Indianhood”! Cortez with her total lack of knowledge and experience. Biden being an old white guy and libs seem to hate them…PLEASE!
You really don’t know much about speaker circuit if your only take way was what you read in the opening paragraph. Any high demand speaker asks for either a book seller point at the venue which has to bought there for any signing or includes the book as a give away in the fee. The intent is to sell the book. If it’s a college, it’s normally a give away. As speaking fees go he is lower the Cheney in 2009 and Gore between 2001 and his film release.
It should be noted that Cortez is 28 and can not run for president until the 2028 election, unless she pulls a Trump and finds a away to disregard the US Constitution.
I don’t believe there is any circumstance where a barcode would be acceptable on a ballot. ScanTron ballots are read quickly by machines anyway, so saving time is not a legitimate argument, and it destroys the ability to determine voter intent vs what was counted.
It’s actually suspicious to me that someone would even suggest or offer such a system when you are trying to create a paper trail.
Note to Uga, when meeting fellow mascots of the bovine family in the future, it might behoove you to wear a Georgia blackout jersey then a bullfighter red one.
That is hilarious! The bulldogs looked overmatched in more ways that one! The 2 best teams will be playing next Monday!
Y’all need to go see The Mule. At almost 90, Clint is still a badass!
This is a very interesting read for anyone looking for a way out of the current political discourse:

Gregs, a good article. However try telling a liberal consumed with hate especially of anything Trump or conservative to move one inch to the right.
Did you ever see millions of penis hat wearing conservative men running to Washington to protest when Obama was elected? I truly hoped he would at least help race relations instead of further dividing us.
Do you see conservatives melting down, hunting down politicians they disagree with, politicizing every aspect our life, tearing down statues, banning speech on campuses and unwilling to bend on anything? There is your problem.
Yeah, Dems moving to the right on sentencing, healthcare and damn near everything they moved right on over the past 25 years has worked out just dandy
Guess what? That’s over. Which be no means means arte blanche.,
You know what Shrivler, I bet you did!
The point of the article seems to have escaped you. Did you read it or simply comment? Stating an issue as a binary choice between us and them is one of the ways discourse devolves.
