For those who understand what compass declination is or for others it’s just another Russian plan to infiltrate our sense of direction. Enjoy.

Stole this one from Patton Oswalt on Twitter:
“Bezos Blackmail Backlash Puts Pecker in a Pickle Over Penis Pix”
I feel like I say that at least once a day.
A couple years ago, both the spousal unit and I celebrated our 50th high school reunions.
My high school class was about 75 people, and they did a very smart thing. Months prior to the event, questionnaires were sent out, and a goodly number of people filled them out and returned them. A class reunion book was then printed up, and it was circulated to everybody in the class; three weeks prior to the celebratory weekend. By doing so, everybody had a chance to catch up on what people had been doing for the last 50 years in the privacy of their own homes. By having advanced knowledge prior to the parties, people were spared having to relate, over and over, the 50-year narrative.
My bride’s reunion was a little more typical, right down to the food on the serving line at the party, a sea of brown carbohydrates. There was the perfunctory reunion book and, fortunately, there was alcohol. We had a great time, but then again, we always do.
If you’re approaching a fifty year reunion, I recommend that you go. Drink, dance, tell the truth but don’t be mean. You see them. They see you. You go back home to your life. Check.
The reunion book is a great idea.
I can’t believe you keep linking to that ace of spades site. That place is a typhus pit all by itself.
They have a link on it here. https://drudgereport.com/
Oh thanks. :-/
Wonder if Ralston will put him over his knee and give him a spanking? https://www.timesfreepress.com/news/local/story/2019/feb/07/moore-casts-unpopular-no-vote-against-deal-ho/488290/
Hopefully Georgia can do better than an F :

The AJC reported Kemp will be seeking federal program healthcare waivers. One of them no doubt will be that no-one refer to Obamacare. He’s budgeted $1M for buddies to figure out how to accomplish it all.

lol. “If you look at Stacey Abrams … she had Oprah, she had Michelle Obama and she had President Obama. And that was a big job for them. They were out there a lot for Stacey Abrams,” Trump told reporters.

I’m willing to bet $10 Kemp gets caught with his hand in a state cookie jar by 2021.
I’ll bet you the same $10 Abrams hasn’t paid her tax debt by then.
Given her knowledge of how that issue played- if she still hasn’t taken care of that by the time she starts her next campaign, you should paid at better than 1:1 odds.
But I don’t gamble much, so I won’t be booking that bet.
Weak reply, how about betting that Kemp does not stick his hand in the state cookie jar by 2021?
Weak reply?
Funny. I am going off of something that’s actually happening… you’re assuming he’s going to do something criminal because you don’t like him. That’s pretty weak.
I am going by his history of defaulting on loans and his malfeasance while he was SOS.
I’ll still keep my bet. It is more likely Abrams will still have not paid her taxes than Kemp having done something illegal.

This story did not get much attention in the recent election. It is about some of the problems faced by Stacey Abrams and The New Georgia Project. Ms. Abrams has a few skeletons in her closet.
The CL piece is time consuming. Here is a summary from my blog. https://chamblee54.wordpress.com/2018/11/21/the-problem-with-stacey-2015-edition/
SOTU Trump: “Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a Socialist country,”
And two days later Kemp moves toward further socialization of healthcare.
No conflict. It’s a know-nothing GOP base.
The election that would never end:
Senior Superior Court Judge David Sweat threw out December’s election between Erwin and former state Rep. Dan Gasaway because three voters lived outside House District 28 and one person voted twice.
Those four voters could have been enough to change the outcome of the election.Erwin appeared to win the December election by two votes, but now he’ll have to face Gasaway again in an April 9 election.

Maybe they can share the job?
Since Benevolus asked about the bet I won, the Trumpster survived the poetry reading. The poet was a guy who wrote about boxing, Leadbetter lyrics, Parliament-Funkadelic’s guitarist Eddie Hazel’s Maggot Brain solo and NASA. He thought he was going to sit through 2 hours worth of ‘feminist whining” or senseless beat neck free verse. He started the evening asking me where my black turtleneck and beret were.
My greatest entrainment of the night was watching him trying to get in and out of my mid-size sedan after listening to blues music. He is 6’3″ and built like an offensive lineman. He concluded if I’m going to take him to bars and ply him with ginger whiskey, I am allowed to drive his ‘baby’ the F350 when I’m the DD in the future.
Anyone else last night see Jack Kingston on Real Time with Bill Maher contrasting/comparing Northam’s circumstances to those of Kavanaugh?
Like blackface or a KKK costume are similar crimes to sexual assault (which is not to say Kavanaugh is guilty of sexual assault, but then neither is Northam on the photograph).
Or Kavanaugh having two weeks to prepare with regard to limited and known subject matter and then lying under oath are on par to responses to surprise revelations.
And of course Kavanaugh’s lifetime appointment is comparable to Northam being on a ballot in two years.
Totally the same. Except that nary a prominent Republican said Kavanaugh should withdraw.
Virginia governor is a 1 term deal. Come 11/21 Virginia elects a new governor. However; the state house and senate are on the ballot in 9 months. The GOP held the majority by a coin toss on a house seat.
I didn’t know VA governor is limited to one term. Nor did I know that VA is the only one term Gov state, a bit of trivia for the politically interested. 15 states, nearly all of them southern, had one term Gov limitations in the early 1960’s. It was down to three by the 1980’s; MS changed in 1986, and KY in 1992.
You telling me a UGA Lamda Chi from the mid-70s didn’t participate in Old South week or the Magnolia Parade?
I don’t think one can compare sexual assault to wearing a racist costume or acting like a racially insensitive boor. Not because I don’t think they’re equivalent, but because they hurt people in different ways.
