CD-7 Race Will Be Buzz Free
Friend of GeorgiaPol.com, and an all-time-top-50 Yellow Jacket, Buzz Brockway announced today he won’t run to replace Congressman Rob Woodall.

This could be a good race for David Shafer. He lives in the district and he’s gotten the sex harrassment charges behind him.
Buzz would be a candidate with integrity.
Shafer is the wrong type of candidate in a transitioning district, and I’m not considering the harassment issue in making that comment.
He won his senate district by big margins. He is locally known and not seen in Gwinnett as a fire breathing dragon. I think he would do well in Forsyth.
No matter who the republicans nominate, this district is trending blue and will undoubtedly flip soon. Shafer can raise money and has name recognition, much more so than Brockway or most other republicans.
Another republican who could win, though I doubt she wants it, is Charlotte Nash. In two years the county commission will flip to majority democrat when Tommy Hunter either retires or loses his seat. Nash may not want to be on the losing end of every battle that comes before the commission. We’ll see!
