Funny that consideration didn’t arise in connection with the feds recently extending additional loan guarantees to Plant Vogtle after its cost and time to complete more than doubled since the first federal assistance. New rules.

The people of Puerto Rico can’t assert “privilege.” Remember that General Kelly had to tell Trump that “those people” were American citizens. He thought they were from a “sh..thole” country whose people were invading the US to commit rape and murder.

This entire explanation is such a crock. If Ralston or any other lawyer serving in the Legislature needed an extension there is already a process available to them to get one. This is all about “privilege” and “power” and nothing else.
If anything this speaks to a need to ban ALL lawyers from serving in the General Assembly or holding any appointed or elected office.
HB 324 “Senators said they wanted to limit the legislation to ensure it didn’t create a large marijuana industry that they worry could eventually lead to legalization of recreational marijuana consumption.” I got news for you guys. There is already recreation marijuana consumption in Georgia. So buy limiting the number of producers you a basically forcing the users to still go to the black market because the price will be to high. Can they just get on with it and pass this?
I don’t know that the Georgia black market price is high. I do know that customers collectively spend tens of millions supporting organized crime that could instead be going into state coffers, besides taxpayer money spent on enforcement.
And as if we needed another reason to pass and sign the heartbeat bill, hopefully it will keep the vile Allyssa Milano out of our state.
You spend too much time getting triggered by people who have zero impact on your day-to-day life. Who cares what Alyssa Milano/Ben Shapiro/Erick Erickson/etc. think about anything?
I think it’s mostly a way to find an excuse to insult someone. It’s almost as if people feel obligated to, for some reason.
